Love hurts. After today, I was sure, love wasn't meant for me. I was happy knowing the misunderstandings has been solved. All I could do for now was to support them. And the remaining truth, let it be. Revealing it would cause nothing but series of turmoils. I laid on the couch thinking of the times I've actually been in peace. A trail of tears started to roll down my eyes. If I could escape all this, maybe it would end my pain. But again what was I actually feeling? All of the thoughts got interrupted by a voice.
"Hoseok?", I opened my eyes and saw Jess looking at me worried.
"Oh Jess. Wait I'll hand the gift to Yoong & then we'll head for home.", I stood up wiping my tears.
"Don't be so hard on yourself. You'll break."
"There's nothing left in me to break. From my childhood to till day, every time I thought I was going to be happy, I have ended up I tears. I have stopped expecting Jess....Let's go.", I took the gift and headed towards the backyard.
All heads turned towards me as I entered. The next moment, I was engulfed into a hug. I felt his tears on my shirt and pulled away.
"Boy don't cry on your birthday.", I wiped his tears chuckling.
"I hate you.", Yoong said hitting my chest.
"I love you too.", I said hugging him again.
"Seems our surprise party wasn't even a surprise to someone.", Joon bit his bottom lip, letting out a sigh.
"How could this party to be a surprise, when I was the one behind this whole arrangement?", Yoong chuckled, leaving us all shocked.
"Uhm hyungie, I should get going, looks like you are going to get me beaten up.", Jimin took his jacket and was heading to the door, but Kook grabbed him.
"You little... It's you again.", Kook said having him in a headlock.
"Aish.. Kook release him. Let me explain. The day before, all this planning started, something happened. I had some work with Jimmy but I couldn't reach him the whole day. Worried, I went to his house and saw him wasted on alcohol. After sobering him up, I asked him if something was bothering him--", Yoong was cut off.
"Hyungie it's embarrassing.. Please....", Jimmy got a flick on his forehead by Kook.
"Thanks Kook. So.. Yes.. He told me everything that happened in past days. How everyone became distant and he missed us. He told me that no one was even talking about my b'day. So an idea struck in my mind. Then everything happened. But he didn't know about Lia. I wanna thank this person present here, who offered me help.", Yoong smiled and we looked at each other thinking who it could be.
"Hoseok, I'll be waiting in the car ok?", Jess whispered in my ear. I nodded & she started to head out.
"Where do you think, you're going Jessica?", Yoong said. All heads turned towards her. She froze in her spot, clenching her skirt. She turned around before speaking.
"Yoongi, I guess I should be going. I'm an outsider after all.", Jess looked down, fiddling with her fingers.
"I don't think of you so. I want you to stay. I hope you'll keep my request.", we all looked at Yoong confused after hearing his words.
"She's the one who helped me to get Lia's contact. She made sure of Lia to attend this party. Thank you Jess. And... *sigh* it wasn't your fault.", he said and I heard sniffs. Jess was crying.
"It was. Now that everything is solved. I'm happy. At least, I could be of some help, I can console myself now, maybe a bit.", She wiped her tears, smiling.
"We should be get going. I don't think Jess is feeling well.", I said handing the gift to Yoong.
"I'm happy that you moved on. I wished to see this day and I'm happy that you did finally. Now cherish your relationship. Smile more often.", I said hugging him, patting his back.
He pulled away with a confused face, "Huh? Moved on? What do you mean? What relationship?", he said scratching his head.
"He is talking about us, Yoong. Thank you Hoseok, we'll cherish every moment of us being together.", Auro said hooking arms with Yoong.
"And I wish you the same. I'm happy, that you too moved on. You two make a good pair.", her voice cracked a bit but she flashed me a smile. "Jessica, don't let him down. He already had gone through so much."
"What?", Jin said but I stopped him. If she thinks so, let her. At least she'll be happy with Yoong.
"Thank you Auro. Goodbye guys. Happy birthday once again Yoong.", I grabbed Jess by her hand but she yanked it away and went to Auro.
"Look this is a misunderstanding. There's nothing like that.", Jess said holding her hands.
"Exactly! What's happening?", Yoong ran his hand through his hair in frustration.
"Auro, Hobi, you both gotta do a lot of follow up. You two just can't assume things and blabber anything that comes to your mind.", Jin said eyeing us both.
"We are not dating. I suppose that came out just to stop Lia.", Yoong said holding me by my shoulders. I stood there dumbfounded.
"We both may not be dating. But you two are. Just admit it.", Auro freed her hands, distancing herself from Jess.
"He hates me Aurora. He really does. I'm planning to leave this place and it's the only way he will be good. Be with him. He needs you.", Jess faced me giving me nod.
"I've always been a pain in ass to him.", she chuckled, "Finally, I'm setting him free.", she turned towards me, "I wasn't planning to tell you about my departure but situation made me do so. So now that you know, I'll be leaving. Remember, I'll always love you, if possible, forgive me. Farewell Hoseok.", she turned leave but I held her from behind.
"Don't leave... Please...", she tried to free herself but I tightened my grip on her.
"What the actual heck is going on?", Rey said squinting her eyes in confusion.
"I'm not refraining myself anymore. They deserve to know the truth", Jin stepped forward, pulling Jess into his embrace.
