today was when jack came back from tour. our 2 year old daughter, elanis, has talked about him everyday which made me miss him even more. it was 8:30, i didnt make dinner yet. elanis and myself ready. i was braiding her hair into two braids.
it was a surprise for her and i told her we were going to my bestfriend/ her aunt's house. she was using my phone to watch youtube. we were ready to leave and got in the car to head to the airport. jack texted me to tell me he was at D6. i parked in the parking garage
i took elanis out of her car seat "where are we going mommy?" elanis asked. i didnt have a back up plan so i responded with "we just have a little pit stop" i said holding her hand while going into the airport. "we're taking a trip mommy?" she asked. "no baby" i responded.
we got to the gate. and i was looking for him. "flight 827B2 has landed and are now returning to the gate" i heard over the intercom after a few people came out of the door and i wasnt seeing jack. elanis started to running "ela-" i yelled and then stopped when i looked to see where she was going and then saw jack
i then walked up to jack and elanis "elanis dont run away from your mommy" jack said "you missed me?" jack asked elanis as she hugged hi itm tight. "can i hug mommy? she misses me too" jack said holding onto elanis. nothing makes me happier than their bond i love seeing them together.
"i missed you mamas" he said before kissing me with his hand around my waist. "lets go" jack said as we walked to the parking garage. "what do you guys want for dinner?" i asked while driving "chicken alfredo maybe?" jack suggested "elanis, you okay with chicken and pasta?"
"yes mommy" she responded. we stopped by the grocery store. i started cooking dinner "baby, can you go get her ready for a bath please? im almost finished." i asked jack "yeah i can, lani, bathtime lets go." he said as he picked her up going downstairs as i lightly chuckled
thinking about how lucky i got with them both. we were gonna were matching pajamas. jack and i had already taken a shower. i turned off the stove and got ready for dinner. i walked upstairs into elanis' room and creeped into the door as i heard jack talking to her
" how did you and mommy meet?" elanis asked
" well, it was 4 years ago before you were born. i saw some pictures of your mom and i thought she beautiful. we later met at a party then got to know each other better and i asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes. then a year or two later you came." he responded while getting her dressed. there bond was so beautiful
i walk into the room "dinners ready last one there is a rotten egg"i said running out of the room and downstairs. jack was running with elanis on his hip "come on lani we got this" he said going down the steps we all sat down and jack was putting elanis in her high chair
"dang, i'm the rotten egg" jack said. we finished eating dinner and went to bed. i was on the right side of the bed, elanis was in the middle and jack was on the left.
"goodnight you guys i love you both so much." i said before kissing elanis' forehead and jacks lips. they both said goodnight.
