ADRIAN MARTIN AND TOBY VALACK AWKWARDLY SAT NEXT TO EACH OTHER IN CLASS THE NEXT DAY. Scott and Stiles had already sat near each other on the other side of the classroom and there were not many seats left, meaning the two boys had no choice but to sit next to each other.

Adrian did have to admit- although never aloud- that he did feel bad for his harsh words towards his best friend. In the end, he let his fear get the best of him.

Toby seemed to be a lot more on edge today- more so than usual. It seemed as if every time someone would even remotely move he would flinch, eyes wide a fear Adrian couldn't place.

Before the Martin boy could even make an attempt to talk to his friend, Coach Finstock slammed some papers on his desk to gain everyone's attention for the start of the lesson. "Alright, listen up." The teacher looks around at the class. "Quick warning before we begin our review. Some of you, like McCall, might want to start their own study groups, because tomorrow's midterm is so profoundly difficult . . . I'm not even too sure I would pass it."

The redhead resisted the sudden urge to bang his head against the desk as Coach continued. "Okay, I need a volunteer at the board to answer the first question." Hands raised all around Adrian and Toby, neither of them getting picked thankfully. "Who's got it, huh? Come on, let's go, buddy."

As someone walked up to answer the first question, Adrian saw Jackson, Scott and Stiles murmuring to one another. The redhead was curious, but didn't push to hear. He had to keep focused in Coach's classes.

However, another part of him felt like his main focus should be on the twitchy blonde next to him. Sure, Toby Valack was a worrier instead of a warrior but he was never this bad.

It's probably nothing. Adrian's thoughts told him, helping him shrug it off and continue working. It wasn't his problem.

"Jackson!" Coach's sudden yell made Toby almost jump out of his skin, dropping his pen in shock. The whole class looked up as the teacher stood in front of the three talking boys. "Do you have something you want to share with the rest of the class?"

"Umm . . ." The star player looked around the room, Adrian biting his pen to hide his smirk from the boy. He had to admit, he liked seeing the snobby rich kid get called out from time to time. "Just an undying admiration for my . . . my Coach."

The teacher nodded. "That's really kind of you." He paused before raising his voice again. "Now shut up! Shut it! Anybody else?"
