'Connor..'

It was silent for a little while but after a few moments he heard an hesitating 'Richie?' coming from the other end of the line.

Richie started to nod while wiping his tears away with the back of his hand and sniffled before he realised that Connor couldn't see him, "Yeah.." he said with a shaky voice.

"What's wrong?" the other boy asked carefully. "I- I-...Eddie he-", then Richie realized that Connor doesn't know who Eddie is and he sighed. Connor noticed that there was something serious going on, "Should I come over?" he softly asked the crying boy. "Y-yeah..I'll send you my address." he smiled through teary eyes. Connor said "Alright, see you in a bit.", and warned Richie that he was going to hang up so Richie removed the phone from his ear and typed in his address. The other boy responded that he would be over in a few.

Richie stood up from the couch and inhaled deeply, he released a shaky breath and walked over to his bedroom. Once in his bedroom he opened his closet and pulled out an outfit which consisted of a white t-shirt and grey sweatpants, he didn't even try to put an effort into his outfit because he felt like shit. After he slipped the clothes on he walked over to the bathroom to splash a little water in his face and brush his teeth.

His eyes were red and he looked like he hadn't slept in days, his hair was super frizzy and he felt disgusting. His fingers raked through his messy curls and he pulled them all back out of his face. The elastic band that was around his wrist was wrapped around the set of curls. One curl fell out from the messy bun and placed itself between Richie's eyebrows which made the boy smile.

He heard the buzzing from the doorbell and he walked over to the frontdoor, he pressed the button so the door would open and Connor could come up. He turned the lock and opened the door, leaning against the doorframe while he heard Connor's footsteps coming up the stairs. Golden curls arised from the spiraling staircase and a bright smile followed. The sight dusted an immediate blush across Richie's cheekbones.

"Hey.." Connor breathed out. "Hi." Richie said while stepping aside and letting Connor inside the appartment. The blonde boy walked through and Richie closed the door behind him. Connor walked further into the appartment and went to sit down on the sofa, "Nice place." he complimented his appartment and Richie muttered a quiet 'thanks'.

It was silent for a while until Richie cleared his throat, "Do you want something to drink?" to which the blonde boy shook his head, "Nah, I'm good...So, what's up?"

Richie hesitatingly went to sit down next to Connor and took in a deep breath, "I told Eddie that I met my soulmate..that I met you and he broke up with me." new tears started welling up in his eyes and Connor scooted closer so he could comfort Richie. He layed his hand on the ravenette's hand and swiped his thumbs over his knuckles.

Richie continued his story after composing himself a little, "We aren't soulmates..he has a blue streak. But we really loved eachother and nothing would come between us..or so I thought.." his voice broke. Connor's shoulders slumped and he slowly took his hand away, "It's all my fault." he murmured to himself but it reached Richie's ears. "No! Connor don't look at it like that...it's just...I don't think it's possible for two people to be together when they aren't soulmates."

The hurt in Richie's eyes was clear and it was obvious that this whole situation was weighing on his shoulders.

He looked up at Connor and the sunlight from the livingroom window cascaded beautifully on his face and he could see freckles spread over the bridge of his nose, his blue eyes looked like pools where Richie wanted to drown in and they stood out so heavily against his skin and Richie thought that the boy in front of him was mesmerizingly beautiful. He hadn't noticed that he was inching closer until their noses almost touched.
