Horsemen, Apocalypse

"Where is Kieran?" Liam wrote in his journal, sitting on the dock of the water outside of Shady Belle. He thought for a moment and decided to go for a ride. He once again rode alongside the fence of Caliga Hall when he heard a cry come from ahead. "Oh, is anybody there? Help! Somebody please help me!" A man yelled. Liam rode up to him quickly. He cradled his arm while he ran to Liam. "What's going on?" Liam asked him. "Some fellas broke into our place. I got away, but, they got my wife! Please son, you gotta do something!" The man pleaded. "Alright, where is she?" Liam asked. "There's a shack down in the swamp, by the water." He told him with faint cries following. "Okay, go on and see if you can find the law. I'll do what I can." Liam told him. "I'll go about finding more help!" The man said running towards Saint Denis.

Liam rode through the trees and across the muddy terrain. He heard a woman's screams coming from the water. When he finally saw the shack, he grabbed his Springfield Rifle and jumped off of Colter. He quickly made his way up to the house. "I'm gonna take my time killing a pretty little thing like you." The man hissed. "Oh, just kill me! I'd rather die than look at you for one more second." She cried. Liam ran up the steps and kicked down the door. He shot the first man right between the eyes. Blood splattered on the walls of the shack behind him. "You can't be he-" the other man said as Liam shot him in the chest. "Kill them both! Kill both them bastards!" The woman yelled. "Oh, untie me please!" The woman cried as Liam pulled out his knife. "It's alright ma'am, it's over now." Liam said as he cut the ropes off of her wrists.

"Oh thank the lord you showed up when you did!" The woman yelled as Liam helped her onto her bed. "Sorry I weren't here sooner." He apologized. "You saved my honor!" She told him. She looked at the two bodies. "Christ, what a mess! Would you please get them outta here? I can't stand to touch 'em!" She asked. Liam picked up the first body and walked out the door. "Let's hope my Horace found another guardian angel like you." She said as he walked out. He dumped both bodies off the dock into the water for the gators.

"There's some money I put away in the sack there. It ain't enough, but please take it." She told him. "Thanks ma'am, but you keep it. Appreciate it though, good luck to you." Liam told her. "Oh, thank you again! You my guardian angel." She told him. He tipped his hat to her and walked out.

He rode back to Shady Belle around midday. He sat by Mrs. Adler. "Been quite a run we've had, since we joined this group of fellers." Sadie told him. "Definitely." He agreed. "And you've joined high society? I figure my days of high society are over." She said. "Well, I just saw Arthur Morgan at a party at the Saint Denis' Mayor's house, so anything is possible." Liam said as they both laughed. "Y'all got any leads?" She asked. "I ain't sure. That's usually left to the big guys." Liam said. "Yes, in fact we do, Mr. Parker." Dutch said walking up with Arthur. "Mrs. Adler." He greeted her. "When you gonna let me come robbing with ya, Dutch?" She asked ambitiously. "My lord, a few more like her we could take over the whole world." Dutch said as they walked inside.

"I'm sure you will soon enough, Mrs. Adler." Liam said, passing her his cigarette. "Yeah, well why did they let you go so early?" She asked. "I don't know myself. I'm still pretty green." He told her. "Remember that pig farm we stuck up?" She asked. "Can't forget it. That damn couple was something else, wasn't they?" He asked. "Hell yeah. I enjoyed that, though." She said. "Me too." He agreed.

They then looked up and saw someone riding into camp, on Branwen, Kieran's horse. "What the hell?" Liam said to himself, pulling his rifle off his back. Mary-Beth then screamed at the top of her lungs. "It's Kieran!" She yelled. He had an O'Driscoll mask over his face and his hands were tied together. He fell off his horse and Liam saw men in the tree-line. "Everybody take cover!" Dutch yelled as bullets started flying. Sadie took off towards the backside of the house. Abigail and Jack hid behind the gazebo. Liam ran to the fountain and made sure Mary-Beth was okay. He looked over and to his surprise saw Susan shooting away. He then looked at Kieran who he noticed was slightly moving. He shot a few times before running up and grabbing Kieran and dragging him up behind the barricade of wood on the southwestern side of the manor. He ripped his mask off. Kieran groaned. He was alive. Liam cut the ropes off his hands. "Are you okay?" Liam shouted. "I-I think so." Kieran barely got out. "Just stay here." Liam commanded as he stood up and started shooting again.

Jack ran out in the middle of the gunfight to John, with Abigail almost crying with fear. The O'Driscolls kept on coming. "Women and children inside! Rest of you, hold your ground!" Dutch commanded. As the shooting let up for a moment, Liam threw Kieran over his shoulder and made a run for it inside. He went in behind most of the women. He had Mr. Pearson and Swanson bring Kieran wherever they were going to take shelter. Liam ran out into the backyard where Karen and Sean were. Karen was shooting, against Dutch's wishes. "Everything good over here,?" Liam checked in. "Yeah, I think I saw Sadie go behind that shack!" Karen yelled.

Liam shot some more and ran out towards where she was. Arthur came behind him. They heard blood curdling screams. "Mrs. Adler!" Arthur yelled. They ran to her and thought she was getting attacked, but soon found her covered in O'Driscoll blood, stabbing the life out of three different men. "Sadie? Why didn't you get inside?" Arthur asked in disbelief. "And miss all this?" She asked menacingly. "Come on you two!" She said as Liam stared for a moment before he heard men coming from the water. They ran towards the water. Men were coming in on boats. "We need you in the house Mrs. Adler!" Arthur told her. "Oh no they don't!" She yelled back as Liam shot a hole in one of their boats. It slowly sank as the three killed more and more people.

"They need us at the house!" Sadie yelled as the front of the manor was overflowing with O'Driscolls. They ran up to the side of the house where Charles tackled a man off the side porch, mutilating him with a machete. Two men ran up but were quickly shot down by Arthur. "Charles, Liam, come on!" Sadie yelled. The rest of them regrouped with Dutch and defended Shady Belle. They fired their weapons until the O'Driscolls started to run, Liam shot everyone he could see.

"Cowards!" Dutch yelled. Hosea came from the house. "We okay?" He asked. "I think so. How's Kieran?" Dutch asked. "Alive." Hosea said. "Poor kid." Dutch said. Liam noticed that Micah was nowhere to be found. "We need to get this place cleaned up. Mr. Pearson, Miss Grimshaw!" Hosea yelled. "Already taking care of it. Come on now, work!" She yelled to everyone. "Colm O'Driscoll." Dutch said, angry. "That man can really hate." Arthur said. Dutch looked up at him. "So can I Arthur, so can I. We need to get moving away from here." Dutch said as Liam went with Sadie to help remove the bodies.

"You was quite a sight." Liam told Sadie as they picked up a body and walked it to the deck. "'Bout time I got some revenge." Sadie said. "Arthur says revenge is a fool's game." Liam told her. "I guess I'm a fool then." She said as they cleaned up.

Later that day he went and checked up on Kieran. Mary-Beth was nursing him. "What the hell did they do to you?" Liam asked. "Pulled a few teeth, ripped off a few fingernails, you know, this and that." Kieran said with what little strength he had. "Now how in the bloody hell did Colom get his hands on you?" Sean asked walking up. "It all happened so fast. I'm surprised I'm alive right now if we're being honest." Kieran told them. "Well, we're glad you are." Mary Beth told him. "Be more careful." Liam told him as he went to sit by Sean and others by the fire.
