Susan wouldn't let Liam leave bed very much for the next few days. The girls would periodically take turns caring for and watching him. By the fourth day, there was no more swelling, but the bruising remained. Even though he was sore he could still move around. That evening Arthur and Dutch had just left to Lagras to scope out an attack on Bronte.

Hosea sighed and sat on the balcony. Liam walked upstairs and sat beside him. "So Dutch wants revenge?" Liam asked. "Not the way he sees it." Hosea said. "Bronte is a sick bastard, he's shown that through his men." Liam said. "You did take quite a beating, which is fueling Dutch's rage towards him even more. But even after all that he did to us, it still doesn't feel right taking him out." Hosea said. Liam thought for a moment, it would be nice to see Bronte pay for what he did, but Hosea had been right about almost everything so far. "What do you think we should do?" Liam asked. "I think we lie low, even hitting that bank is a bit risky right now." Hosea said. Liam noticed he was thinking more and more about Pinkertons lately. "Do you... do you think they're gonna find us and kill us, Hosea?" Liam asked, getting worried. "I hope not, but I'm getting nervous. Every move we make seems to lead them right to us." Hosea admitted. "What's gonna happen to us?" Liam asked. "Only time will tell. I don't plan on leaving this life alive, but you, you can. When the time comes, you need to have a plan of your own." Hosea told him. "What do you mean?" Liam asked. "I think you know what I mean, Liam." Hosea told him, patting him on the shoulders and walking off.

Liam sat for a while contemplating Hosea's words. He didn't know what to think. Arthur and Dutch rode back around midnight. Liam didn't ask any questions. He went to his cot and fell asleep quickly.
