The Myths

C H A P T E R T H R E E

I sit there and just stare at the door. What the hell just happened? I thought, and amber came over and put her hand on my shoulder, "It'll be fine, we'll figure this out, Alexis" she says and then walks up stairs into the room she's staying in. Keira goes and shuts the door and locks it, then looks at me.

"You should get some rest, actually, we all should" she says and heads upstairs. I quickly get up and go upstairs as well, followed by Leticia and Clara. Once I got into my room I just collapsed onto my bed. I stare at my ceiling and sigh, why does this have to happen, I don't understand what the point of any of this is, or why its happening, I actually thing it stupid, so stupid. I kick my shoes off and go grab my phone, and text my friend Hannah, saying that I'm up at Keira's Lake House, and that she should come up tomorrow. Then I lay down, and fall asleep.

I wake up the next morning from hearing laughter coming from downstairs. I get up and walk down, to see what was going on, when I see Hannah and Jillian playing the Wii. I shrug and walk over to the kitchen and see Keira and Leticia making breakfast. Leticia look's back at me, "Oh, hey Alexis, good morning" She says.

I nod and look around, " Hey where Amber?" I ask. We were supposed to go training today, we were meeting up with Luke, he's been a wolf longer, so for now, he's in charge of teaching us how to control it. Leticia shrugs and I sigh and walk outside, then I catch Amber's sent. I follow it all the way to the bottom of the Lake, where I see Amber, and this guy practicing combat. I walk down to them and punch Amber lightly in the arm, "You were supposed to wake me" I mutter. 

"Sorry, but Luke was already there when I woke up, and I wanna get this stuff learned, so, we kinda just left and came down here, he's teaching me how to fight" she says and crosses her arms.

I look over at Luke and glare at him, "I think we should learn how to keep ourselves from wolfing out before anything else" I growl. He rolls his eyes and nods.

"Really, all you have to do is concentrate, nothing else too it, I guess, um, find an anchor, someone you care about, it'll help" he says then quickly runs past Amber, knocking her off her feet, "Oh, and make sure you know whats going on around you!" he yells and runs off somewhere. Me and Amber look at each other and shrug and run back up to the house to eat.
