Chapter 10: GUARDIAN

" Prince Daniel will just stay and study here for just 3 years just enough for his combat, weapon, and ability trainings. The King and Queen just let him study here for experience and quality training. So don't bug him with your dreamy desires because after 3 years of training and studying here he will once again return to the palace to take the path suited for him. Even though I once told you all that everyone here is equal, even your are from a noble family or ordinary family. But we still need to know our boundaries especially now that you all will be studying with a Prince. Give the prince the respect he deserve understand?" Mistress Igraine gave us a warning stare and speech to set boundaries between the prince and us ordinary students.

"Yes Mistress" the student said in unison and I just join in.

Mistress Igraine is still standing in her sit " now since the selection of houses is finish, choosing of fairy guardian will now takes place." She announce and snaps her hands. Instantly the small platform in front vanishes and a rectangular bed of flowers appear.

The flowers despite of being mature are still close.

" This is a special kind of flowers that most of you here are aware but some are not. They only grow on the forest of Lumiere, A sacred forest for a sacred creatures like theme. This flower is the one who gives birth to the fairies. It keeps them inside and protects them from any possible harm until they reach to their mature stage. And now is the time for them to be pick and be release." Mistress Igraine informs us

" just like the selection of houses we will just call your name and you will go here in front and pick one flower that you think the most connected to you. Choose carefully because they will be your Guardian throughout the years, so you must choose a flower that is most suited for you. This Flowers consist of Ordinary Fairies and Rare ones. Ordinary fairies are those fairies that just commonly possess a teleportation and healing ability. But Rare ones had an addition abilities, but it always depends on how strong their master is." Mistress Igraine finishes.

"Let the picking of Flowers begins" she announce loudly 

After she said those words, first years are called one by one.

Now that I notice the moment Mistress Igraine announce the choosing of guardian, each students that already have one called their guardian fairies. Now the dining hall is full of sparkling fairy dust and adorable little squick. Some are flying back in fort some are sitting on either the head or on the shoulder of their masters. Some even playing with their fellow fairies they are just too cute and adorable. I just watch them with contentment, I'm too excited to have one for myself also.

I also notice that the wings of the fairies are differed by their gender. Female Fairies has a wings like those of butterflies but Male Fairies has a wing of a dragonflies. Quite interesting also its hair, the hair of the fairy and identical to the hair of their master as if their master are they're parents hmm.

"They are too cute and adorable aren't they?" I said to Ree but still looking at the fairies with their master.

"You bet it, they are indeed adorable but i will surely get the cutest one Cleo! I will have it" she answered me with full determination.

"Haha yeah yah you will definitely possess the cutest of them all" I teasingly said to her. 

My attention was caught when a familiar name was announced.

" Lorenzo Wobblestone" I anticipated on what would he will pick. Will it be an ordinary one? Nah I doubt it he look strong maybe a rare one.

He slowly graze his hands on the flower to feel his connection with one of it, and he suddenly pick a flower on the very side of the third row. The bed of flowers consist of 5 rows full of flowers. He smells the flower and observe it as it slowly open and reveals a cute little male fairy. He face us and we saw how the male fairy yawn and stretch as if it has been awaken from a long sleep.

The fairy wiggles and then fly it instantly create a small whirlwind. Lorenzo smiled in delight 'Rare one'

"Yna Wistledone" one of our house member stands up, our eyes met and I just gave her a smile and she smiled back before directly go in front. She also study the flowers and pick one from the first row.

It slowly open and reveals a cute female fairy then she face us. It flies then an ear breaking sound was heard. Yna smiled happily still 'Rare one'

"Ymir Wistledone" an identical boy goes infront just a little too excited, he is grinning widely. He became serious and feel the flowers then pick a flower still from the first row but in the middle.

It slowly open and reveals a male fairy then he face us. The fairy wiggles its body and fly then a hypnotizing song was heard I immediately feel sleepy 'Rare one'

The choosing continued but no one gets rare after those three.

" Vivoree  Esvanira" Ree is called, I just gave her a goodluck then she proceed in front. She graze her hand on the flowers feeling the connection then she picks a flower on the third row inches to the middle.

It slowly open and reveals a slightly chubby female fairy and Ree squick in delight and excitement. The fairy fly then splashes of water were seen 'rare one'

She came back with her little dumpling "and you indeed get the cutest one huh" i tease

"Of course didn't I told you? I would really get one haha" she answered proudly

" hello little one" I talk to fairy and it just gives me a cutest grin I've ever seen "what's her name?" I ask Ree

"Let's decide later when you get yours" she answered

"sure" i only said then into the front again.

"Dexie Veambrooca" Dexie pick the flower from the righ side of the 5th row. It slowly opens and reveals a female fairy then it flies suddenly vines are sprouting from the floorz. Dexie became smug and too proud tsk 'Rare one'

"Desire Cleo Tuazon" it's now my turn, Ree also wish me a goodluck and I proceed in front. I face the bed of flowers and then I close my eyes just like the other do to feel the connection from a flower. I slowly graze my hand then even my eyes are still close I could clearly see a particular flower glowing too bright out of them. I opened my eyes and pick a flower from the 5th row at the very middle, its the who glows even my eyes are still close.

It slowly opens and reveals a female fairy with a butterfly wings and hair as black as mine. It yawns and wiggles then it flys suddenly some utensils are in the mid air floating and when I thought it is finish the utensils that are floating slowly melted. Instantly theres an applause I heard them saying 'for real? Rare fairy with an additional two ability?' And etc. 'Rare one'

After her little show my little fairy just sit on my shoulder and I go back to my sit and my house mates are still claping for the fairy I got.

"Alexter Woodgranger" he proceed infront and pick his flower instantly without any observation a flower from the very middle of 4th row.

It opens slowly and reveals a male fairy. It fly then suddenly a stone spike surrounds it then vanishes when we are about to give them an applause the fairy flies in circles creating sand hurricane. Whoa we give them an applause 'Rare one'

"Prince Daniel Clint Mejica" at last it is now the prince, Prince Daniel studies the flowers for a half a minute before picking one from the right side of first row.

It slowly opens and reveals a male fairy, it wiggles then flies. For a minute there was nothing but then a struck of lightning came from above. Also after that theres a misty clouds everywhere, it has a paralyzing effect because I can't quite feel my feet now. Then it vanishes and everyone gives the prince an applause 'Rare one'

" And that's the end of our First Year Ceremony students. Now let the feast begin" mistress Igraine claps her hand thrice and foods just instantly shows and full our table. Indeed it was a feast.
