Chapter 7: YEOMAN OF SHADOW

Cleo.

School? And for special beings? And I'm like them? For real? Seriously even the Head is crazy. I think this is indeed an Asylum.

I look at her as if she grown two horns. " this is indeed an asylum"

She just laugh at my statement and didn't take it as an insult which I intended too.

" auh darling I know you would say that and I know it is a lot to take in so let me explain first hmm" she said

I took a deep sigh "Madame-.." she interrupted me "Mistress"

"Ok Mistress Igraine I don't really think I can make myself to trust you nor believe what you are saying especially you don't even any proof. Just let me go please, you said you believe that I am not crazy so please let me go just don't say stupid things like that. I am not crazy but you are making me one" i said conflicted

"Is this enough proof for you to trust and believe what I'm about to say?" There's suddenly a voice inside my head, I tilt my head to trace where it's coming from until Mistress Igraine eyes and mine met.

I look at her wide eyed " What are you doing in my head?!"

"Giving you proof ? You said you want one" she said shrugging

" now don't talk any further and I will explain everything to you" she continued impatiently while looking at her wrist watch.

I just remain silent because of her last statement, theres a hint of warning in there that if I talk any further she will silence me off herself. Also because I'm still in deep confusion on how did she do the mind speaking thingy.

" Good" she smiled in satisfaction.

" As I was saying this is no ordinary Asylum, this is a School an Academy. It is a school intended for special children like you, The special one's also know as Yeoman of Lumiere." She begins

"Yeoman of Lumiere means Attendant of Light, this Academy Teaches you to become an Attendant of Light to become loyal to it and to serve it at any cause. ASYLUM yes this is an Asylum but as i was said not ordinary, ASYLUM hides a deeper meaning, ACADEMY FOR SPECIAL YEOMAN OF LUMIERE." She finish her statement and silence embrace us as if she was giving me time to digest everything and opportunity to ask questions"

She's right I need time to digest and accept everything she was saying.

I decided ask question that are keep bugging me since she started to talk " so you were saying that this indeed an Asylum but not ordinary in disguise to a literal Asylum for crazy?"

"Why? I mean why would you disguise to be an institution for crazy, you have so many choices to disguise with. Also why there is a need to mask the true nature of this institution" I'm in deep confusion.

"Yes Asylum for crazy is a disguise, a mask if you may call it, it is protected by a strong spell so no mortal would be able to suspect it. We choose to be an Asylum because it is a lot easier to find children like you, those who are lost on mortal world. If mortals find you a little intriguing and different they just easily consider you as crazy and thus sending you to an Asylum to be lock up because they fear everything that are not familiar to them and might even ruin the peace they created they are that small and too narrow minded" she answered without any complain

" there is really a need to disguise because as I said mortals are to narrow minded they easily consider us a threat to their peaceful lives you'll understand everything when you start you're classes. And also one last thing if there are a Yeoman of Lumiere there's always an opposite the Yeoman of Shadows the attendants of darkness. So you must be very careful they are lurking everywhere they are dangerous." She said with a hint of warning and did not explain any further.

I look at her in confusion, when I'm about to ask another question she began to stand up and look at me as if saying enough of explaining and we need to get going.

"I still have so many question, and where are we going?" I said and it feels like my brow and becoming one

"You know the basics now, you're remaining questions will be answered the moment you take your classes step by step. Now jus follow me" she said with an authoritative voice and began to leave the room.

I had no choice but to trust her and just follow her.

The moment we leave the room I notice that it seems like we are in different era. Crystal chandelier, stone bricks side also full of paintings and carvings, wooden ceiling and elegant carpeted floor.

Am I dreaming? Cause it feels like I teleported into a different world.

" yes you are indeed in a different world, the moment you step into the Asylum you are also entering a deferent dimension but of course mortal won't see it nor notice it. They would just see and feel the normal surroundings and structure of an asylum, you will know everything very soon it like works of magic. And by the way this the true beauty of the school, it's true nature as you called it" she wink and continue walking.

She is leading me to a very old fashion elevator you could even see it inside. We ride in it until the very first floor and stops in the middle of two gigantic stairs side by side.

How did I manage to go to the very top without even noticing it? I just realized that her office is in the very top of this Academy/palace.

Now that I did not space just like the moment I step in here, I've been able to appreciate the surroundings and the beauty of this palace. It is so historical and it feels like it hides so many secrets in it. It too warm and welcoming now that I'm aware of everything I realized that theres a belongingness inside me. I feel like I belong to this place, to this world and contentment are filling me.

The moment we step out of the building I feel like I could shout out of delight like a child seeing a toy she wants and like.

Mistress Igraine is right we are in a different dimension, a different world, the forest that is once in the front of the Asylum is now change into a very spacious field with trees in it and flowers carefully design and landscape to complement each one.

In front of the school is a circular driveway or hallway? And in the middle of it is a glistening fountain that sparks under the moonlight. It already dark i did not notice it immediately because of the beauty of the surroundings.

"Let's go to the freshman dorm first and tomorrow is the start of this school year so as the ceremony for the assigning of houses and as well as assigning your personal fairy partner and guardians" Mistress Igraine said and I just nob too tired to even speak what on my mind.

We walk in silence and she lead me to my dorm room, it is not very special the room just consist of a single small bed and a side table with a lampshade in it nothing more.

Mistress Igraine said that it is just temporary because tomorrow is the time we will go to our real dorm room that will be our home for the next 6 years of studying here. I did not complain and just nob,she gives additional instructions that I didn't even understand because of the tiredness I'm feeling. She left after that and the moment my ass hit the soft mattress my body just instantly lay down and everything just shut off, darkness once embrace me.
