Chapter 15

Zhan Yao felt helpless for escaping this hurricane of thoughts, the positive and the negative analysis of the actions and words of Bai Yu Tong made him even more confused.

"Am I not worthy of love and a better life, why do I have to suffer again?, having this unrequited love that will sink me even more into sadness. I've had enough of this cruel life" Zhan Yao was riding the car next to the silent Bai Yu Tong while the mood felt heavy.

The situation isn't working for him as the girl was sitting behind making him so uncomfortable. Zhan Yao sensed that Yu Tong was driving fast holding big pressure yet still was keeping silent. He looked his way to see him absolutely absent minded.

"I think I have the right to seek something that I want, some place I feel loved, welcome and appreciated most likely this man's embrace. It is my only home." Zhan Yao couldn't lift his eyes from the man who was driving like crazy while keeping silent, so unusual.

"I never felt that those kisses were fake, I felt them true every time and I loved it with all my heart" Zhan Yao was having a past vision to his memories of being in Yu Tong's arms. He looked like occupied by more important facts. He was worried of the overflowing of emotions that he couldn't control just like a moment ago.

"Zhan Yao, why were you crying earlier?" Asked Bai Yu Tong at last. He couldn't wait to be just the two of them, he needed to learn the reason behind his sweetheart tears.

"Mother was here, well my father's wife...... That's funny right? She said I am his mistress's son and not her own son" Zhan Yao straightened up and put his hands on his stomach, holding it firmly while feeling the fear and sorrow resting there causing him an unbearable pain.

"Everything is fate" Zhan Yao looked at Bai Yu Tong and smiled softly. He let out a sigh. How painful that would be, wondered Bai Yu Tong while looking at his broken smile, he wanted to just pull aside and hug him dear absorbing away all the inconvenience and engulf him with warm love.

"Where are we going?, And who is this girl?" Asked Zhan Yao as he looked at the back studying the shy anxious face of the silent girl. She quickly lowered her head fearing his sharp glares before he retrived and nodded in denial of his own disrespectful attitude towards her.

"So unreasonable" He huffed loudly. Yu Tong was cluless of the sudden cunning behaviour before he assumed that he was angry after he met his mother. This day couldn't become anymore worse as he was about to tell him that his dad is in a very critical condition.

"We are heading to the hospital" He grabbed Zhan Yao's hand and pressed on it hard. Yu Tong ended up with gritted his teeth. Zhan Yao instead  fixed his eyes on the one driving the car in a higher speed with a puzzled expression. Yu Tong seemed angry with something before he added.

"Your father is in the hospital" Zhan Yao couldn't feel brave enough for Yu Tong's words were poking all his insecurities. He was bringing them all up and practically destroying them. What he said was a destructive fact to someone who was eagerly wanting to see his father and now he is finally going to meet him, yet in a hospital.

"Zzzzzz" Yu Tong's phone kept vibrating till he let go of Zhan Yao's trembling hand and answered his father's call.

"Are you sure?, Thank you dad. Please do not forget to protect Nina's father he could be in danger for letting us know" Bai Yu Tong was paying attention to the smallest details that could help others and lead them to the truth.

"He is already taken care of, do not worry" His dad soon hung up and went back to check on the laying man on the hospital bed while having passed the critical state.

"Puppy, my puppy! Your father is fine he is resting in the hospital, they managed to save him. Don't worry okay?"

"Yeah?"he said. Zhan Yao couldn't have a proper feeling, fear, anxiety, sadness, Hapiness all were coming in and forth inside his chest. He was surprised to hear the excitement in Yu Tong's voice as he reassured him. Looking at him, he saw him giving him a happy wink as he grabbed his hand again.
