Chapter 17

The sound of running water coming from the small bathroom in Yu Tong's ears woke him up, who was sleeping soundly. He opened his sleepy eyes and tried to sit up but felt a heavy body laying on his chest. As he looked down, he saw Zhan Yao clinging to him gently. Unexpectedly the two were covered by a warm blanket.

Yu Tong remembered his friends, he raised his head looking around but no one was there. The clock on the wall indicated 1 PM. His eyes popped open as he realized they slept this much. He looked back at the clingy puppy in his embrace and pressed a soft kiss on his forehead before he heard the door of the bathroom opening.

Yu Tong everted his eyes to see who was coming to meet the high elegant heels walking few steps in to the room, he then lift his head up more to meet his mother. Madame Lin walked inside as she slammed the door close with irritation clearly shown on her rebellious behaviour.

Bai Yu Tong was afraid for some reason of her sudden scary attitude. He never witnessed such a behaviour coming from his gentle loving mother. His arms pulled Zhan Yao closer under the blanket, he felt discomfort while he was being watched by eyes of disgust.

"Is he the one?" His mom asked as she sat on the bed while crossing her legs arrogantly.

"Yes" Yu Tong right now was helping himself to stand without waking up his lover and stood in front of her, he was ashamed trying to avoid her glares, she looked very furious but she still pretended to be calm. She looked at him from head to toe with her deep eyes. She curled her lips and showed him a disdainful expression.

"Mother, please" Bai Yu Tong's eyes were slowly reduced to tears. He watched her vigilant behavior and smiled, with desperate expression on his face, he knelt down and begged to be forgiven and spared. He wasn't thinking of his relationship with Zhan Yao as much as he looked at the woman who thought was his mother.

Bai Yu Tong was extremely hurt by her odd and hateful reaction to his relationship with Zhan Yao. This amount of hate and disgrace towards him was nothing compared to when she learns the truth, she might chase him away and disown him. That hate will be worth a great sorrow than just a small depression he could feel now.

"Do you love him this much?" Madame Lin was astounded by her son sudden weak attitude and his fallen tears. Her face changed, and the tone of her voice became very resentful. She thought Yu Tong was strong and has a fierce and bold character. It was their first time witnessing this side of eachother personalities.

"I do, I love him mother more than anything else" He swiftly answered.

"Good morning sleeping prince" With a cold smile she sneered. Watching the man laying on the sofa slowly getting his body up and pulling off the blanket away. Yet she didn't have seen him yet as he was giving his back to her. Zhan Yao heard their conversation and pretended to be asleep. Until he felt, he needed to stand for his boyfriend.

Bai Yu Tong quickly got up of the ground and looked at Zhan Yao. He didn't want to be insulted like this by his mom in front of his man. He walked to him and gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. His mom just averted her eyes to avoid looking at the unbearable sight in front of her.

"Good morning ma'am" Zhan Yao bowed and greeted her while grabbing into his shirt to stop the quivering of his hands. He was trembling of fear, this woman looked more scarier than his mother as he saw the way she was dressed and sitting on the bed. She immediately took out an amount of money from her Gucci bag and threw it on his face.

Luckly the money fell on the wrinkled sheets in front of her and never reached to Zhan Yao who was shocked of her own disrespectful act.
He raised his head and stared at her in confusion. Before she could pretend to be calm, she freaked out and held her hands to cover her mouth from the shock of seeing Zhan Yao's face.
