Chapter 14: Lighting up the sky

Rose prov:

It turns out that my wrist was just sprained,and I was just wearing a brace for a few days to see if could heal naturally.We were all back to classes as usual. I was walking with Ced to charms. "So, me,Cho and a few others are going down to the 3 broom sticks for butterbeers this weekend if you, the twins and Lee want to join?" "That sounds like a lot of fun. Ill ask the boys." Ced opened the door for me and we went our separate ways. I found the twins and Lee sitting at the back and I headed over to them. They seemed busy with a new product they were inventing. I walked to the open chair next to Fred and sat down and got out my books and quills. Professor Flitwick walked in and stood at the front of the class. "Now all of you quieten down and turn your textbooks to page 260." I turned my textbook to the page and looked it over. "Hey."I heard a whisper. I looked over at Fred and smiled. "Hey" I whispered back at him. I saw him write something on a piece of parchment. Once he was done, he slid it over to me. I picked it up and started to read it. "I have a surprise for you. Meet me at the black lake near the old willow tree at 20:20 tonight." I looked back over at Fred and nodded yes. I then gave him one last smile and listened to Flitwick. I went to the rest of my classes, but I didn't see the twins and Lee for the rest of the day. I headed to the great hall with Ginny for dinner but I didn't really feel hungry, so I didn't eat much. I then headed up to the dorm and changed out of my uniform and into black jeans and a red top that hung off my shoulders. I brushed my hair and plaited it down to one side. I then put on my combat boots and fluffy purple jacket and off I went to find Fred.

Fred Prov

After Rose said yes to my surprise. Me, George and Lee skipped the rest of the days classes and went down to the black lake to get ready for the surprise for Rose. I was currently hanging up the lights in the old trees. Lee was setting up the picnic blanket and George was setting up the main surprise. I looked at the castle and could see someone walking towards us. As they got closer, I could see it was Angelina. I walked over to her and gave her a hug. "Hey Angie, thank you for helping me pull this off for Rose." "No problem Freddie." Angelina walked off and started to do the charm to stop anybody seeing Rose and I. We were just about finished as my watch showed ten minutes to 20:00. "Well that's the last of it Freddie and this is where Lee and I leave you. Have good night." "Thank you for all your help." I said as I waved them goodbye. I then used my wand and quickly changed into dark pants with a white button shirt with the top three buttons down. I then waited for Rose.

Rose Prov

I easily snuck out of the castle to the black lake. It was completely dark, so I used my wand as a light. As I got closer to the spot, I was meeting Fred I saw him standing there. "Hey flower." He said with a cheesy grin. "Hey, I have missed you." As I put out my hand for him to take. He took my hand and guided me through the trees and suddenly I could see everything he had done. I stopped and looked up at all the fairy lights in the trees. I saw how the light reflected of the lake making it shine so bright. I looked at the trail of rose petals that lead me down to a picnic blanket that was laid out with a small picnic basket in the corner. I saw two pillows also laid on the blanket. I turned to Fred who was standing behind me with a nervous look. "I hope you like it" He said as he rubbed his neck with the hand not holding mine. "Like it? Fred, I love it!" I cried in delight and jumped into his arms. "Thank you so much!" "Well there is more." He said with a laugh and kissed my forehead and took me over to the blanket and sat me down as he rushed over to the edge of the water and lit something and then ran over and sat back down with me. "Now just watch over the lake." He said. I looked out over the lake and suddenly a couple of flashes flew up into the sky and exploded into colourful pictures. I stood up and walked closer to the lake and the images in the sky. They kept changing. I looked closer and recognised them. They were me. They were me in Fred's eyes. They were also the colour of the emotion he was feeling at the time when he looked at me. I just stood there in shock.          

Fred prov

I watched as Rose watched all my memories of her full the sky. I watched as he eyes had gone different colours. I stood behind her and put my arms around her waist, and she leaned into me as she watched as the sky. She then turned around in my arms. She looked straight into my eyes. "Fred Weasley. You are the funniest, strongest and most caring person I know. You truly make me happy. And you are the ginger I fell in love with. Fred Weasley, I love you to the moon and back. Forever and always." I looked as her in shock not expecting any of that. "Rosalie Holmes, I love you just as much if not more. Forever and always." I then smashed my lips to hers.

And there in the moon light two people fell deeply in love with each other. It was like there was no one else in the world but them.
