Rose Prov

We all gathered in the great hall. All the tables were gone, and only benches were there to sit on. I sat in between the twins. My head was on Fred's shoulder and my eyes were closed. "Rose?" I opened my eyes and there stood Dimitri. I got up and he hugged me. "Rose, I came to see if you were alright. I haven't seen you in nearly a week." He whispered in my ear. "I am alright just been away from people." I replied. He pulled back. "I get it. I really am sorry about Cedric." "Thank you, Dimitri." He gave me one last smile and the twins a head nod and went back to the rest of the Dumstrange students. I sat back down and blocked out the world. Ginny then came and sat next to George. About five minutes later Dumbledore got up from his chair and started to speak. "Today we acknowledge a truly terrible lost." He said out to everyone. "Cedric Diggory as you all know was incredibly hard working, strongly fair minded but most importantly a fierce, fierce friend." He took a pause and by then I had tears rolling down my cheek. "Therefore, I think you have the right to know how he died. You see Cedric Diggory was murdered by Lord Voldemort. The ministry does not wish me to tell you this." He said a little louder. Fred had turned and I laid my head on his chest and cried. Dumbledore carried on. "But not to do so I think would be an insult to his memory. Now the pain we all feel at this dreadful loss reminds me, reminds us even though we may come from different places and speak different tongues. Our hearts beat as one." Before Dumbledore could carry on, I got up and headed out the hall. I felt as if all eyes were on me, but I didn't care I needed to get away. I walked down to the black lake and sat at the edge of the water. I felt tears streaming down my face. Until my vision was so blurry, I couldn't see anymore. I let out a small sob. I pulled my knees up to my face. "Rose, is that you?" A voice said to me. I lifted my head and saw Sirius Black standing there. I had met Sirius last year. He came and sat down next to me. "Rose are you alright?" he asked me quietly. I shook my head not trusting myself to speak. "It's okay to cry when you lose your best friend. I know how you feel." I looked at him. His hair was long and untidy. He had a kind smile on his face, and I felt I could trust him with anything. "I I I just mmmmiss hhhim." I cried, putting my head in my knees again. I felt Sirius lay a hand on my shoulder. "Rosie, I know it hurts and over time it will not hurt as much. It will always hurt, and you will never forget but I promise it will get better." He got up and stretched out his hand to me. I took it and he helped me up. He then gave me a small hug. "I have to get going and you should go back up to the castle. I am sure everyone is looking for you. I nodded and we parted ways. I turned around again "Umm, thank you Sirius." I called to him. "Anytime Rose and if you ever need anything I am here." He said with a wink and then transformed into a dog and ran off. I then started a slow walk back to the castle.

Once I got back to the doors of the castle itwas dead silent. I opened the door, and no one was around. "Everyone has goneto pack. It took me a while to insure to Mr Weasley that you would be alright."I heard Dumbledore say. I saw he was standing near the doors of the great hall.He had a sad smile on his face, and he was looking at me with his moon shapedglasses. "How are you Rosalie?" I was a bit shocked when he called me Rosalie. He had never done that before. "I havebeen better Professor." I replied. He came closer to me. "As I understand ityou were very close to Mr Diggory." "Yes, Sir we were very close." "I amterribly sorry for what happened to him." I just looked at him. "Everythingwill change now." I said quietly to him. "I am afraid so and I cannot say whatthe outcome will be but enough of that. Go and pack Rosalie. I am sure you areready to go home." He said and started to walk away. "Wait Professor!" heturned around to face me. "Umm I wanted to know can the dead come to you inyour dreams. I mean are they really there or is it just your mind?" "Well justbecause it's in your mind doesn't mean it's not really happening." He said andthen walked away. I stood there in silence not sure what he just said andwatched him leave
