I sat with Fred and George in the stands. We were in the front row. I was in between the twins. My heart was pounding in my chest when I saw Cedric and the rest of the champions came on to the field before the maze. Before anything happened, Cedric ran up to me. I stood up, went past Fred to my left and down two steps towards him. Cedric pulled me into a tight hug. We hugged for a couple minutes and then I pulled away from him. I looked at him and I knew my eyes were white. He put his hand on my cheek. "I'll be fine Rose." He said softly. "Promise me you will come out of that maze without a scratch." "I promise. You're my best friend Rose and I love you." "I love you to Ced. Don't make me have to beat my best friend because he was an idiot." He hugged me one last time and then ran down to join the other champions. He then turned back to me and gave me a huge smile. I felt my heart clench of worry. I hated this. I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Fred standing there with a comforting smile on his face. He pulled me close to him. I wrapped my arms around him and buried my head into his chest to stop me crying. "He will be fine Rose. Cedric is strong." He lifted my chin, so that I was looking at him. He placed a gentle kiss on my lips, and I felt the spark again. He then took my hand and led me back to our seats. We sat down together still holding each other's hand tightly. I just prayed Cedric would be alright. I wouldn't be able to live without him.

We watched as the champions went into the maze. I felt Rose's grip tighten on my hand, but I didn't mind. I looked over to her and saw she was biting her lip. We all sat watching the maze for about twenty minutes when we saw a red spark fly in the air. I felt my hand being squeezed even more. I looked back over at Rose and she had gone pale and her eyes were ghostly white. I had never seen her eyes go like that and I hated seeing her like this. Even though I had seen her frightened before and her eyes turn white I had never seen them this white. She watched as Professors went to the red spark. I saw that she had tears in her eyes. I stood up and picked Rose up. She was confused by my actions, but I brought her back down to sit on my lap. She curled her legs up and snuggled into me. She felt a bit cold, but I didn't mind. She still watched the maze. I watched as her eyes held both white and pink in them. I smiled a bit. We finally saw Fleur being helped out the maze. Then the Professors came out with Krum on a stretcher. That meant that it was just Harry and Cedric in the Maze. "Hey, they are fine I am sure." I said in Rose's ear. She nodded as a response. We sat there for another thirty minutes before we saw Harry and Cedric appear everyone stood up and started celebrating. Rose jumped up and went down the stairs. I quickly followed her, but she stopped dead in her tracks. I looked at her in confusion and then I heard something I never wished to hear again. Rose let out an ear-splitting scream. I quickly ran next to her and looked at what she was looking at. There on the grass was Harry lying over Cedric. Cedric was pale as a ghost and not moving. I could see he was no longer with us. I quickly tried to pull Rose to my chest so she couldn't see but she pushed me away and tried to go to Cedric. I grabbed her around her waist and held her tight. "NO! CEDRIC PLEASE NO!" She shouted out. Everyone had gone quiet looking down at Cedric's lifeless body and Harry. I pulled Rose into my chest and I held her there as she cried. George ran down to us with Lee on his tail. They both stopped as they saw Cedric. "Oh Lord." Lee said in shock. Rose was crying harder in my chest and she had wrapped her arms around my waist. I held her tight afraid if I let her go, she would crumble. I watched as all Professors surrounded Harry and Cedric to stop people seeing. Professor Flitwick and Sprout were trying to get everyone back in their seats. Rose pulled away from me and tried to look at where people were surrounding Harry and Cedric. I looked down at her face. There were tears running down her face and her eyes had gone very dark blue the darkest I had ever seen. Before I said anything Sprout told us to get back to our seats. I pulled Rose to walk but as soon as I did that, I felt her legs gave out from underneath her and I caught her before she fell. I picked her up and she put her arms around my neck. "Please tell me it's not true." She whispered into my ear. I looked at her and couldn't even speak. I sat down and pulled her closer to me. She continued to cry. Ginny sat next to me rubbing Rose's back and trying to comfort her. We all sat there for half an hour waiting to be told what to do. Hermione and Ron had come to sit next to us. Rose had cried herself to sleep and was resting into my chest. We all sat there in dead silence. I was watching Rose closely as she slept in my arms. "Alright everyone will please head to their houses and stay there until the morning." Professor Flitwick shouted to everyone. Slowly people started to rise and walk back to the castle. I stood up and held Rose close. Ginny came and stood next to me. "Is she alright?" Ginny asked quietly. "I think she is just exhausted and upset but she is strong, I am sure she will be fine." I said back. We all spoke softly as we walked to the common room. Ron and Hermione went to the hospital wing to see if they could see Harry. We entered the common room and most people were going to bed. "I can take Rose and put her to bed if you want" Ginny asked me. "No, it's okay I think I am going to lay her on the couch and stay awake until she wakes up." "Are you sure?" she asked I nodded my head. I kissed her on the head and watched as she went to her dorm. I sat down on the couch and had Rose still asleep in my arms. I laid down and held Rose close to me. She was facing me and put her head on my arm. I watched her for a bit until finally I fell asleep.

I stood near the edge of the lake. I looked around and saw Cedric coming towards me. "Cedric is that you?" "Oh, my dear Rose I miss you already." He said to me. I ran to him and hugged him. He pulled me into a tight hug. "Please stay." I said to him. He pulled back from me. "I would love to my Rosie, but I really can't. It doesn't work that way." "Ced please you can't leave me. You promised me." I said with tears running down my face. He just smiled a sad smile. He lifted his hand and wiped away a tear. "I'll never truly be gone. I'll always be in here." He said and put his hand on his heart. "It hurts so much that you have to go though." "I know Rose but stay strong." I felt more tears run down my face and a weak smile appear on my face. "I have to go now my Rosie. I love you and I'll see you again. I promise." He said and hugged me. "I love you to Ced." I hugged him tightly. He then pulled away and started to walk away from me. "No, wait Cedric please I am not ready. Please" I said and fell to my knees crying. "Cedric please don't leave me!" I cried out. I then closed my eyes, and everything went black.

"Cedric!" I shouted out as I sat up. I felt as Fred sit up to. "Rose, are you alright?" I looked at Fred and saw the concern in his eyes. "Tell me it's not true and that Cedric is okay. Please!" I said in a broken voice. "Oh, my Rosie I wish I could say that." He said softly. I leaned into his chest and started to cry. He rubbed circles on my back and told me comforting words. "It's not fair." I cried. "I know my Love." We sat like that until early morning. My eyes started to close, and I fell asleep.
