"Ugh. What a monster."

No.. it's not true.

"I can't believe you're my daughter!"

But I haven't done anything.

"Just go kill yourself, freak!"

Why would you say that..?

I'm not a monster.

You have to believe me!

You walked to school, staring at the gray sidewalk. You sigh and inhale roughly, then exhale exasperatedly.

"Here I go." You mumble, placing a fake smile on your face.

It was just another day. A boring, lifeless, meaningless, day. That's how you saw everything.

You still dealt with it, though.

You slid the door open, a fabricated smile on your face.

"Oh! Hi, Y/n!" Ochako beams, waving happily at you.

"Hi, Ochako." You say softly, giving her a warm smile.

"Are you free today? Me and the girls are going to the mall and-"

"No, I'm good. I have things to do." You interrupted, apologizing after.

"Aw.. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow?" She asks, her smile faltering slightly.

"Maybe." You reply.

She nods and grins, turning around and striding back to her seat.

You sigh, rubbing your eyes. You hear the door slide open, revealing your friend and classmate, Todoroki Shoto.

"Oh, Good morning." You greet the boy. His eyes meet yours.

"Good morning." He nods towards you, walking towards his seat.

You and Shoto have been friends for around 3 months. You two got along really well, but it was you who always initiated the conversation.

He drew your attention. Despite being depressed and having no motivation to do anything, you want to see people smile. You don't want others to end up like you. He didn't smile and you made that your goal. He hasn't smiled yet, but you hoped to make him.

Soon enough, your other classmates filled the room, and your teacher, Mr. Aizawa, followed after.

"Alright, everyone. Get in your seats. Class is in session." The tired looking male mumbles, walking to the front of the class.

Everyone scattered to their desks, including yourself. Class went on as normal, talking about things like how to be a good hero, math, etc. You had went to a couple of other classes as well.

It went on like that for a while, until the bell rang for lunch. Everyone stood up and practically ran out of the classroom, besides a few people.

You walked alone to the cafeteria. Quietly and silently.

Bad idea.

"Hey, freak! Why're you so creepy, huh?!" A student said, cackling with their friends.

You shrug meekly, trying to walk past them.

"Hey!" The student pinned you to the wall, making you gasp.

"Don't ignore me, bitch." The student growls under their breath.
