Todoroki x Reader (Fantasy AU) - Part 3

Crickets chirped in the dark forest. The pale moonlight shone through the small cracks from up above, and the faint sound of a river flowing echoed in the forest.

It was peaceful. Quiet. Not a thing could ever ruin this—

"Oh. Damnit!"

The prince cursed to himself as he slipped on a rock, twisting his ankle. He writhed in pain, continuing to make his way across the forest.

"It's fine. You'll be at the village soon enough. Then, you can do whatever you want. Maybe get the town to rebel against your power-hungry dad... ? Or you could just try to live a normal life." Todoroki spoke to himself.

The prince sighs out, and immediately stops in his tracks, hearing a strange noise.

"What was that?" He questions, whipping his head around.

Low growling was heard, and he tried to pin point where the noises were coming from.

"Wolves.. I guess I'm gonna die." Todoroki grunts, attempting to walk away from the noise.

A bark was aimed directly at Todoroki, and the prince became wary. He shook his head, not planning on fighting a couple of wolves.

"I will cremate each and every one of you if you come near me." Todoroki threatened, flames erupting from his left palm.

The wolf noises ceased immediately, making Todoroki less cautious.

"This.. is gonna be a long night for me."

The night had finally passed, and the sun rose up, replacing the moon. Everyone was soon bustling around the village, the once silent area filled with chatter and laughter.

You stirred in your sleep, groaning. Feeling Pina's paws on your stomach, you open one eye.

"Oh.. Good morning Pina." You yawn loudly, sitting up.

Pina squawks, flying off your lap. They began flying towards the main room, and you slowly followed after.

"Kyoka.. You there?" You call out.

No response.

"..She's probably out performing..." You mumble.

And so, your day has started. You washed yourself in the bathroom, got dressed, stretched a little, and made your way into town.

Pina followed you, flying by your side. You held out your arm for them to perch on, and they did just that.

The villagers were chatting and laughing like always, not a single person frowning. Even you found yourself smiling because of the joyful atmosphere.

"It's a really nice day, Pina. So nice, actually, that we could have a little fun." You look at your companion, grinning.

Pina looks at you, disappointedly. You deadpan at your friend, sighing. "Oh, come on! It's gonna be great! All we gotta do is find a couple of bugs, put them a girl's dress, and bam! Instant chaos."

Pina just stared at you, and you stared back. They didn't give up, but you blinked.

"Ugh! Fine. I won't do it." You sigh out.

Pina squawks happily, flicking their tail. You roll your eyes, but stop in your tracks.

"Who do you think you are, you thief!? Trying to give an apple to a dirty little rat!"

You turned your head to the scene, seeing a cloaked figure being held by the wrist by a burly, hairy, shop-owner.

"I-I'm sorry, sir—"
