I. unrequited love

I saw her in the moonlight
in a hundred shades of silver
a body covered in dust
and her pale skin was cratered

suddenly I understood
the wolf's melancholic cry

tonight I will cry for her too
drunk of her beauty
allured by her mystery
but heartbroken from afar

for I am in love with her
but she loves the ocean more
so she tries to steal his waves
to embrace his ruthless storms

I hope one day she hears me
confessing my love with the wolves
until then I'll keep weeping
feeding her lover with my tears
