XVIII. whispers of the waves

195 12 2

there's a girl who belongs to the sea
born from sea foam and poseidon's blessing

the waves whisper her name
like she has never heard before
a hunger that'd devour her whole
with the next tide, she has dived in

there's a boy who yearns for the ocean
a storm in his eyes, but he never cries

the wind carries him far away
to a different, distant shore
somewhere on the silver moon
the sea is trying to come home to him

silly boy sitting on the moon
silly girl swimming in the deep blue

I hear their laughter
in the whispers of the waves
