It has been three days since the ride home, but Kongpob couldn't get the person out of his mind. His soft and gentle voice, the white skin, beautiful features. Kong knew he liked the man at first glance. But he knew he would never get him.

All his life, he was bullied, used and thrown away. Mostly because of his shy nature. He has taken hits all his life, but he felt that he was on the verge of breaking. One more, and he'd lose it.

His parents were the least supportive. Initially they wanted Kong to be 'tough' like them. And their definition of tough was killing people and running the black market. Ever since childhood, Kong was scared of his own parents, even more than the outside world.

But he had grown accustomed to that too. It was only a matter of months, after which he would be fully capable of living on his own. He was waiting for the day he could leave all the mess and start a new life. So for now, all he cared about was working hard, earning money and settling down on his own.

Kong was in the hospital canteen, when he realised his phone was missing. He panicked a little. Aim, his best friend sensed his tension.

"Kong?" There was no response. Aim shook Kong by the arm. "Kong! What is it?"

"Uhm, Aim" Kong said, frantically searching his bag. "I can't find my phone."

"I'll give it a ring, you'll hear it if it's nearby." Aim said taking out his own phone.

The first two times, everything was silent. No phone could be heard, nor did anybody pick up. On the third try, he heard a voice through the voice.

"Hello?" Aim signalled Kong.

"I'm the friend, of this phone's owner. Could you please return the phone?" Aim said in a formal tone.

"Oh yes! Where are you?" The voice seemed familiar, but it was so faint that Kong couldn't make out.

"Hospital canteen." Kong was finally relieved. He let out a sigh, and waited for Aim to end the call.

As they both waited, footsteps approached them, which stopped right next to Kong. He looked up to see, the face he had taken his time to admire just days earlier. The same white skin and beautiful smile.

"Is this your phone?" He asked, bringing the phone forward.

"Y-yes it is. Thank you." Kong took the phone and checked once if it was alright. It seemed to be in perfect condition as he had left it.

"Dr. Rojnapat! It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Aim." Aim said, smiling. Aim was a pro at winning hearts, with his buttery words.

Kong's eyes widened. So this was Dr. Rojnapat? The famous surgeon, and also their direct senior. Kong was even more amazed now. The man had a lot of successful surgeries under his belt. He was one of the top surgeons at such a young age.

"Pleasure to meet you too, Aim." There it was the deep smooth voice, Kong couldn't stop thinking about. "And..." He was now looking at Kong, expecting a greeting.

"Kongpob. Thank you for returning my phone." Kong said rather shyly.

"Nice to meet you Kongpob." The angelic smile made its way to arthit's face. It could certainly light up the entire world.

"I found your phone in front of my office. I was just wondering who left it there, when the call came."

"Thanks again Mr. Rojnapat." Kong said rather gratefully. He remembered he was talking to Prae, his colleague, explaining a case when he left it in the Department of surgery. That's where Mr. Rojnapat's office was.

He let out a chuckle. "You can call me P'Arthit."

"Thank you P'Arthit." Kong repeated cautiously. Arthit loved the sound of his name coming from Kong. It was the most beautiful he had heard.

Aim got a call, and he immediately got up. "I have some business to attend to. I'll see you around" he said to Kong. He bowed his head to show his respect to Arthit and left.

"May I sit here?" Arthit asked.

"Yes sure!" Kong was getting slightly flustered because Arthit was looking straight at him.

But gradually they got into talking about medical schools, their hobbies and a lot of other things. Kong didn't even realise when the time passed. Arthit had a patient waiting, so he took his leave too. But before that, he made sure to get Kong's number so that they could stay in touch.

The more Kong had conversation with Arthit, the more he thought Arthit was such a gentle person, always so collected, smart and knew the right things to say. He was in awe at how easily Arthit made Kong comfortable. He had all the qualities Kong could ever look for in a partner. But alas, Arthit was way out of his league.

Kong wasn't really expecting Arthit to talk to him any further, but to his surprise, Arthit messaged him. The very same night. When Kong had just taken a shower to refresh himself, he came back to see the message from Arthit.

A: Hey :)

K: Hello

A: I was wondering, if you would like to grab dinner with me sometime.

Kong couldn't believe it. Arthit wanted to have dinner with him? Did Arthit like him? He immediately shook the thought away. Maybe he just wanted to meet as a friend. Having dinner together. Just the thought made his heart flutter a little.
