“So, how was your first four lessons here?” Alice asked at lunch. We had a table all to ourselves, and we all had a plate of food in front of us. Everyone had mastered acting like humans so well. They wouldn’t keep still; always swaying, or crossing their legs. They also played with their food, and sometimes even ate a few bites.

“They were good. I had English, double Maths and Religious Studies,” I whispered as I attempted to individually pick the seeds out of a kiwi at a human pace.

“Religious Studies? Bummer, man,” Emmett laughed. “Who’d you have?”

“Miss Jenkins,” I whispered.

Emmett laughed again. “The last time I had her, she tried to tell me that I was the most annoying and peculiar human being she’d ever met,” He said, and we all laughed. We all knew exactly what made it so ironic. He wasn’t even human.

“She seemed exasperated when I told her my name. She said, ‘Not another Cullen!’” I whispered.

Emmett laughed again. “What a weird woman. Have fun in her class,” he grinned.

Suddenly I heard a quiet tap on the window closest to me, and when I turned, I saw Seth peering through it. Not again. He was going to get told off if he kept doing this. He smiled as he walked through the glass doors, and sat down next to me. I could feel people’s eyes fixing on us. Seth was shirtless, showing all his perfect muscles.

“Hi,” he said, smiling.

“You’re not meant to be here! You’ll get reported!” I whispered, and pushed at his bare chest. If I used my strength, I may have got somewhere, but I didn’t use any force. Seth laughed.

“I see you’ve gotten the hang of the human stuff,” he said so quietly that only we could hear. “I just came to check on you. How is it?” he asked, cupping his hands over mine.

“It is fine, although I think someone has a crush on me,” I whispered, and looked over my shoulder to see Tom looking at us from a few tables away. All his friends around him had stopped to look too.

“Him?” Seth said. “He can’t compare to this,” he motioned to his chest muscles, and I laughed.

“You think I have a crush on him? I’ve only been here one day, Seth. Don’t get jealous too soon,” I whispered, and Seth kissed me.

After a few seconds, he pulled away, and I felt the majority of the people in the hall’s eyes on me. “Looks like I’ve made a show,” he mumbled, and quickly left. I tried to protest, but I knew that he had to go.

“Well,” Rosalie sighed, tapping her fingers together. “This is awkward.”

“Let’s go. It’s not that light outside,” Edward said, and we all stood and left the hall. The bell rang just as we stepped outside, and I went to my science class with Rosalie.

“Is it Mr Lewis we have?” I asked Rosalie, reading my timetable. She nodded.

“He thinks he’s the funniest man who ever lived,” she answered. "Just like most of the teachers here."

“So, today I’ve set up a treat for all of you!” Mr Lewis said once he had introduced me, and sat me down next to Tom. It was another lesson I was with him, and sat directly next to him. Half the class groaned. Mr Lewis' treats probably weren’t that good. “Oh, don’t be like that!” he sighed. “I thought… that as not many of us know much about ourselves, we would find out more.” There were a few wolf whistles from the boys, and a few girls giggled. They had taken it sexually.

“No, sir!” Tom called out, raising his hand with a smile across his face. “I can’t. My mum says to not go down there when people are looking,” he said, and the class erupted with laughs. Tom grinned and put his hand down. Mr Lewis glared at him.
