PART .12.
SLIGHT NSFW IN THIS CHAPTER.

**POV:K**

It was the same routine as any other day, stand up from my seat at the ass crack of dawn, walk over to the coffee machine as I feel reality as I know it crumble around me from the lack of sleep, gulp down the entire mug in a matter of seconds, and shriek my lungs out at the sensation.

That day was extremely dull, the sky was packed with gray clouds and the air smelled of thick moisture, which was my favorite type of weather. Sad and depressing environments filled me with joy and serenity, while sunny and lively days made my stomach turn and gave me the feeling of throwing up.

Nonetheless, I was excited for that day, despite not really wanting to leave my office. I had plenty of snacks just packed inside drawers, so why would I leave? Maybe I should've just become one of those freaks who never left their caves.

The only time I was ever going to walk out of that room was to meet Levi.... And to get waffles since my cravings were starting to kick in.

Breakfast was just starting, so getting what I wanted and rushing back to my room would've been easy. I opened the door to my office and hurried down the stairs, only stopping to see if Levi or Charles were around since they were the only people I felt like seeing.

I walked into the diner, only lasting there for a few minutes before storming out with the waffles in a plastic plate held in my hands, before the sight of Mag stopped me.

She was walking towards the diner as well, looking stressed out of her mind. Before she went any further, I walked up to her, confused on why she was acting that way. "Hey, Mag." I said, which made her flinch slightly.

"Oh, hi Krow." She replied, which wasn't like her usual self at all. "Is everything okay?" I asked, worried about her. She paused for a moment, planning out what she was going to tell me.

"Uncle Zarius is coming to visit..." She replied. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach in one instant, and my appetite was completely gone. "...What?" I asked, unsure about what she told me. She nodded silently, grabbing her arm.

"He's only going to stay here for one night... but I'm... I'm terrified." She said, letting out a long sigh to calm her nerves. "But... It's one night, right? There's no need to worry!" I said, but that was nothing but a lie, to myself and to her. Every time he visited, and every time he looked at us, we would feel the life getting drained out of us, leaving us confused and blank.

"On top of that..." She muttered, her voice cracking up. I could feel her tears about to break out, "I... I think I'm...." Her voice faded away as a flood of saliva began dripping down every side of her beak. "Mag?" I said, getting closer to her. She backed away instantly.

Her eyes, the ones looking into mine were shifting into something odd, something horrid. Before anything else happened, her hands shot up to her beak, closing it shut, and her eyes returned to normal, that time flooding with tears.

I didn't have time to say anything, she sprinted off somewhere else, leaving me behind to be confused and shocked all together.

What was that? What was going on with her? All of those questions that kept coming and going never found their answer immediately, stacking themselves up in my mind.

The cogs in my brain were still trying to process everything that happened.

Zarius was coming to visit for a night.

Mag had some sort of breakdown because of it?

Then again, Mag had some small outbreaks every once in a while from holding all of her rage in, but it was never like that. Maybe her body was still going through some changes? She was seventeen after all, it was a possibility. I had to take it all off of my mind, Zarius was going to stay over one single night, we just had to pull through it, and Mag was probably going to feel better by the next day as if nothing happened.
