PART .2.
**POV: L**
The blue moonlight was bursting in through the giant crystal windows, bathing everything in the room with a blue hue. It was serene and tranquilizing, just like I imagined it to be, but ten times better.
I needed something like that for the longest time, away from the artificial lights of the crowded city, and away from all the air that was stuffed with car smoke half of the time. The air outside, and even inside the hotel was fresh, almost too classy to be called "air".
The staff seemed pretty nice, Malice was a man of few words and Krow was pretty fun to piss off, his over the top reactions and him going red with every comment I made was hilarious. But there was one thing I wasn't able to take out of my mind...
Krow was completely wingless...
Maybe I was mistaking a species? Maybe it was just a birth defect? It was pretty odd, and he didn't seem to try to hide it, maybe they were tucked under his clothes or something?
My mind got easily distracted with the huge bed that was on the other end of the room, calling out my name for me to sleep on it for hours on end. It was tempting, and it was already getting late.
The items that I took out of my luggage were just thrown around the room, I wasn't the type of person to clean up, or be tidy whatsoever. Eventually, my body gave out and I decided to take off my shirt and jump onto the bed, with my eyes staring up at the ceiling. To my surprise it was also decorated with some sort of medieval art.
Krow did mention that that was once a gothic cathedral, so it was pretty interesting to see the parts of it that remained that way.
Maybe there was a gym in that hotel, that would've been of so much convenience to me, especially because of the fact that I didn't bring all of my gear from home since it was too heavy. I thought about tying my treadmill to the roof of my car and drive with it but it seemed like a rash action.
I was looking forward to the next day, since I was going to learn more about that hotel and meet the rest of the staff, maybe get to know Krow more since he seemed like an interesting person.
It felt as if I was out of place in those areas, since there wasn't really a strong presence of Canines or Vulpines, everyone there was either an Avian or a Vampire, but I had no problem with that. Most Canines were aggressive, but I learnt to control that at a young age, only using my strength if necessary and trying my best to look as friendly as possible.
Back home, everyday felt the same, the same roads that I saw everyday and the same routine. It was boring me out of my mind, for a few days, it felt as if I was going mad, especially with the job I had, getting constant scars and injuries.
But that place felt different, at least, something to help me get my mind off of things. It was going to be a very long vacation, five years in total, I wasn't saving up for nothing.
Sleepiness was slowly taking the better of me, drowning me in its darkness and comfort. I was planning on taking advantage of the next day to learn that place well, and I was excited for it.
.....
The sun felt warm on my fur, tickling me just enough to wake me up. It was warm, maybe a bit too warm. I looked out of the window to notice the breaking dawn with its colorful hues and layers, staining the rocky mountains with a tint of gold.
That night was short, and soundless, something I was lacking for the longest time. Everything was so cozy that I felt at home already.
I stood up from the bed and stretched my body, letting out a long yawn in the process. Once I lifted my arms above my head in order to stretch some more, I felt the agonizing stench of sweat, I felt truly disgusted.
