Untitled Part 17

In the evening, Kai went once more to his favourite bench in the park. He liked the silence, the trees, the sun... it was the perfect place for him to find peace for a while. While he was lying on it, he felt four little paws on his abdomen and a silent 'meow'. He opened his eyes and saw Misaki's cat, known as sub-manager, walking on him. He smiled and passed his hand over the cat's back.

"You are Tokura's cat, eh? "

Sub-manager lay on Kai. He smiled again, this time while caressing its head. He loved cats. He closed his eyes, but he kept playing with the cat, which started growling from happiness.

Aichi was heading to the park's bench, with the hope of finding Kai there. He was dying to spend some time with him, who always looks busy and is so hard to be located. He arrived at the park, and saw Kai lying on his bench. Aichi smiled.

"KAI-KU... " He stopped shouting, as he saw sub-manager lying on Kai's abdomen.

Why is sub-manager disturbing Kai-kun?

He stayed still and observed the scene. He saw Kai smiling and caressing the cat's back and head.

Kai-kun... likes it? He doesn't spend much time with me, because he wants to play with this cat?

A new anger rolled into Aichi's veins. There is no way he would let a cat get involved with him and Kai. He took his fake smile, and walked towards Kai's place.

"I'm so lucky to see you here, Kai-kun! "

Kai looked at Aichi shocked.

"Aichi, what are you doing here? "

"I was just walking to the park. Why is Misaki-san's cat here? "

Kai looked at the cat, then Aichi again.

"He just came on me. Why, is there a problem with it? "

Yes, Kai-kun! You give attention to him and not me!

"No, no... everything is fine. "

Kai let the cat down, got up and started walking away. Aichi looked at him worried, ran behind him and took his hand.

"Kai-kun! Where are you going? "

Kai looked at Aichi wrathful. He pulled his hand.

"To Underground Cardfightings "

Aichi felt neglected. He turned his glance to the sky, then to Kai again.

"Don't you want to come to Card Capital? "

"No "

The green-eyed walked away, leaving Aichi alone in the park, next to sub-manager who was trying to sleep on the bench.

Kai-kun left, again...

He looked at Misaki's cat.

On Kai-kun's album is everyone who tries to separate him and me. If they didn't exist, then... he and I would be closer, and I'm sure he would be nicer to me too!

That idiot, I hate it when he grabs my hand...

Kai always wondered why Aichi didn't want to come to the underground Cardfightings place. He thought that maybe he is afraid of Jun, because of his looks. One time that Aichi was following Kai, he was saying how weird Jun is, that he has weird earrings, weird hair, everything on him was weird. He smiled, because he knew what he should say to get rid of Aichi anytime. Maybe he should go out with Jun more. Kai returned to Miwa's house. He was surprised when he saw that he wasn't there, and he had left a message 'I went to Card Capital. Come if you want. There is food in the fridge'. Kai walked in and closed the door.

The green-eyed boy was lying on his bed, when his mobile phone rang.

"Yes? " He said when he picked it up.

"Kai, its Miwa " Kai heard the blond's voice. "I have... bad news... "

"What is it? "

Kai thought it would be something about Ren, judging from Miwa's panicked tune of voice.

"You know sub-manager, right? "

Tokura's cat?

"Yeah. What with it? "

"It's... please, come to Card Capital... "

Kai could hear someone crying at Miwa's place. He was sure it was a girl's voice, actually, Tokura Misaki's.
