Untitled Part 23

Aichi and I were walking inside the haunted house. It was a creepy place made of stone, with spider webs everywhere, with ghosts made of holograms, holes on the floor and weird dressed dolls looking at us. I really didn’t like the place, but I think Aichi was enjoying it.

"Aichi " I said "why did you want me to come with you here? "

He just looked at me and he turned his head away. He didn’t answer.

"Do you want to play? How about the one asking questions and the other should answer?" I offered.

"Sure, Miwa-kun "

"Cool… I’m going first. Well… Who is your best friend? "

Aichi looked at me weirdly

"Kai-kun "

Like he would say something else…

"Now it’s my turn, Miwa-kun. What are you to Kai-kun? "

"His best friend "

Aichi stopped walking.

"And what’s that supposed to mean? That you will be with him all the time? "

"What?! "

He turned his death look on me.

"I have watched you all this time, Miwa-kun. You don’t leave from Kai-kun’s side at all. Even though you received my warning card… "

Aichi started walking slowly towards me. I saw from his jacket sleeve a knife coming into his hand.

"Aichi… what are you doing? What’s this? "

"I warned you to stay away from my beloved Kai-kun!!! Now you will receive your punishment!!! "

I looked around, even I knew nobody was there. What should I do? Should I really fight him? Ren did, and now he is in the hospital!

"I think I will cut your head and give it to Kai-kun as a present… he will be so glad that he will finally get rid of you, Miwa-kun! " he said, laughing like a maniac.

I made steps behind.

"Kai will hate you if you do this "I told him.

"NO! KAI-KUN WILL NEVER HATE ME! HE HATES YOU! HE ONLY WANTS ME! Don’t you see in his eyes every time he is with you, he wishes he would be with me! SO WHY IS IT ALWAYS YOU? WHY IS IT ALWAYS MIWA-KUN AND NOT ME? HE COMES TO YOUR HOUSE, YOU ARE TOGHETHER AT SCHOOL, and YOU COME AT CARD CAPITAL TOGETHER… WHY IS IT ALWAYS YOU? "

Before I crab the chance to answer, I felt his knife’s blade into my abdomen.

"Aichi… "

I fell down. He was ready to cut off my head, when we heard voices coming. He stabbed me to my two shoulders quickly, he cleaned his knife on my clothes and he ran away.

"See ya, Miwa-kun~ "

I was lying on the floor, feeling my clothes becoming more and more wet and red. I tried to scream, but I could only feel tears coming out of me.

I’m sorry, Kai.

Kai was sitting next to Miwa’s bed in the hospital. No one knew that he was there. And he didn’t want to. He understood that it was Aichi’s doing, so he didn’t want him to know the hospital where Miwa was in. It was better to think of him as dead.

Miwa… you idiot, you should have denied going into that haunted house!

First Ren, then Sub-manager and now Miwa. All the people –and animals- close to Kai were hurt.

Aichi… he is really dangerous. He has tried to kill every person close to me.

He decided to stay into his house again to calm down, and try to find a way to escape from Aichi.
