Untitled Part 8

Miwa heard someone knocking the door.

"I’m coming!!! " he said

He walked through the hallway and opened the door. He was shocked when he saw that Kai was sitting down with his knees, his hair and clothes were full of branches, leaves and mud. He also saw some bruises on his hands and face, and noticed that he could barely breathe.

"Oh my God, Kai! What happened to you? " he asked, while he was helping his friend to stand up and led him into the house.

"I just jumped from my balcony… " Kai said.

"You did what? " Miwa almost screamed.

"Yeah… I fell on the tree under my house, but with my back. I tried to stand up, but when I touched one branch, it broke and fell on my face. I slipped and fell down the tree –which was a muddy place-, with a bunch of leaves and branches falling over me. I lost my consciousness  for some minutes, but I was lucky enough to stand on my feet before Aichi finds me "

Miwa’s head was ready to explode

"And you call that ‘lucky’?"

 "I guess"

Miwa let his friend take a shower and gave him some clean clothes. He also told him that some food was waiting for him at the living room. When Kai went to the living room to eat, he saw the three members of the Team AL4 sitting at a couch: Suzugamori Ren, Narumi Asaka and Shinju Tetsu.

"What are you doing here?" Kai said unexpressed, but quite relieved, as he wanted to be with people to think less about Aichi-fear

"Nice to see you again, Kai! " Ren shouted happily.

"Hello, Kai" Tetsu said more serious, but with a smile.

"Hi "Asaka said quite smiley, even though she didn’t like Kai that much.

Miwa entered the room, holding a bowl of cookies he made himself, and put it on the table in front of Ren.

"Take a seat, Kai! " the gray-eyed boy said.

Kai sat on an armchair next to Tetsu’s side of the couch. He started eating the salad Miwa made for him, and in the end he grabbed one of the cookies. Miwa sat across him.

"Miwa, why are they here?" Kai asked again, because they didn’t answer previously.

"Well, I called them here to help us save you from Aichi. "

Can THEY save me from this maniac?

Kai looked at Ren –whose mouth was full of cookies-, Asaka and Tetsu. He wasn’t sure if he wanted anyone else to know about Aichi, but he gave it a second thought and he was grateful that his childhood friends wanted to help him. He also remembered that last night Miwa reported that he would need the help of the most enthusiastic person. He never thought he would mean Ren.

"And what can they do? "

"Well, I was thinking about dressing Ren into a murderer, sent him to Aichi and tell him to stop chasing you, or else he will die. "

"Are you sure you want Ren for this job? "

Both Kai and Miwa looked Ren, who was choking with the cookies. Asaka was hitting his back to help him spit them.

"I…I c...an... d...do th...i...s, Ka...i… "Ren said while choking.

"Ren-sama stop talking, or else you will die! " Asaka said.

Ren seamed kind of scared, hearing Asaka’s words.

Idiots.

"See? " Miwa said "Ren wants to do it. So tonight, we will make sure Aichi will stop doing these annoying things to you. "

"I’m sure he will not be scared… "

"Ren-sama is a capable actor! Have faith in him! " Asaka said hopefully.

Kai sighed.

"Whatever… "

"Yosha!!! Now it’s your turn, Kai. What happened? "

Kai talked about the phone call Aichi made this morning, about his arrival and some weird knife-noises he heard before he jumped.

"Also, when I lost my consciousness, I thought I heard him opening my house door… I think he made it with that knife of his…"

"This kid’s case is really serious… " Tetsu said.

Ren finally could talk properly.

"Don’t worry, Kai! I will definitely save you! I will scare him tonight! Maybe if I dress myself as Blaster Dark he will…"

"Please, leave the appearance to me" Miwa said, as he was sure Ren would destroy everything if he was alone.

Ren agreed.

"When did you leave from my house yesterday? "Kai asked Miwa

"Well, it was too late… 6 o’clock I think. "

"He was still out of my house until 6?!"Kai yelled.

"Yeah.  And when I left, while I was walking, I thought he was behind me, watching over me carefully… I really wanted to run, but I got in my house quickly. "

Kai found himself shivering again.

Am I afraid of Aichi? Or am I afraid that he will do something to my friends? Miwa’s life was in danger yesterday, and right now Aichi maybe is in my house! Well, I guess it’s both. Yeah, they may be idiots, but I’ll trust them… I want Aichi out of my life…
