Before the knife reaches Ren’s chest, he raised his right foot and pressed the knife’s blade down, together with Aichi.

"You are an idiot Aichi! Do you want to kill me?? " Ren yelled.

Aichi tried to pull his knife, but Ren was pressing it hardly.

"LET IT GO! " Aichi screamed.

Aichi approached Ren’s foot and bit it with all his might. Ren didn’t scream and he punched Aichi to the face, but he had already smelled the scent of blood from his foot.

"Stay back you cannibal! "

Even if he was injured, Ren wouldn’t let the knife fall to Aichi’s hands. The kid, whose nose was red from the punch, knew that. He took Ren’s scarf and tried to strangulate him with it. Ren couldn’t do anything, he let the knife, put his hands behind to touch Aichi’s waist and threw him above his head. The boy landed with his back to the road surface.

"Stop it! I’m older than you and I can easily beat you! But just stop it! "

"I will fight for Kai-kun! " Aichi said while he was standing up.

"Kai wants you out of his life!!! "

The kid stayed still, looking into the crimson-eyed man wrathfully.

"I understand it now… YOU AND MIWA-KUN WANT KAI-KUN FOR YOURSELVES! "

"What?! "

"YES, THAT’S IT! YOU WANT KAI-KUN! STAY AWAY FROM MY KAI-KUN! LEAVE HIM ALONE! "

"Your? Stop the nonsense! "

Aichi raised his foot and hit Ren’s flank. He fell down and he got the chance to take his knife back.

"Bye bye, Ren-kun "

Aichi raised the knife and directed it to Ren’s heart. Ren stopped it with his hands, but the blue-haired kid insisted.

"AICHI, CALM DOWN! THIS IS FOR KAI’S GOOD! "

"Of course YOU would say that! "

Aichi punched Ren with his other hand, and caused him nose bleeding. He was about to try stab him again, but he moved his place one meter farther. Ren touched his bloody nose and he winced.

"Now you have really made me angry… " Ren whispered.

Aichi rushed to Ren again, really fast this time. Ren caught Aichi’s hand, which he was holding the knife with, and hit Aichi’s jaw. The boy didn’t react, he turned the knife backwards to his hand without Ren notice, and stabbed the red-haired man’s back.  Ren gave a muffled howl, while he was feeling the blood flow on his back and waist.

He really wants to kill me!

He hadn’t come here to kill Aichi, but he was afraid that the kid wouldn’t let him another choice. Ren kicked Aichi’s feet and chest, freed himself and made some steps behind. The knife wasn’t into his back anymore, but he had already started feeling weaker. Aichi ran and jumped up to Ren, he threw him down and tightened his hands around his neck. Ren couldn’t say anything. He felt the knife’s red blade nailed in his abdomen.

I’m going to die… from Sendou Aichi?

He always thought of Aichi as a good friend, because he saved him from his Psyqualia, but now it was just a dust blown by wind. Aichi raised the knife and got ready to stab Ren’s chest.

I’m sorry, Kai.

He was about to die, into his own lake of blood, with a kid above him, obsessed with his childhood best friend. Then, he heard a familiar voice calling his name. He felt it coming closer and closer.

"REN-SAMA! "

Asaka…

A car-light lighted Ren’s and Aichi’s position. Aichi got up quickly and ran away, maybe because he didn’t want to be exposed. Ren couldn’t do anything and stayed still. He saw Asaka coming and hug him crying, and Tetsu trying to put Ren into the car upset. The voices around him felt weaker, and he lost his consequences into Asaka’s and Tetsu’s arms.
