A Letter to Me

Dearest insecure me

I hope you can see

That a lockdown doesn't mean you should go down

It doesn't mean you should stay down

Yes it will become eerily quiet in your town

And life will start to feel grey, black and brown

But remember

Even though it is difficult

There is no reason for your resurfacing guilt

What was done is done

Your sin is now gone

Relish in it

Allow the joy to fit

Inside you will have to stay

But don't let your thoughts lead you astray

You have come so far

Don't tear open your scar

There is someone out there for you

Someone to help you when you feel blue.

You were given an opportunity

So make your dream a reality

The things you needed most you got

Time is yours, but space - not

Use this time to create your greatest rhyme

Use your room to create evil's doom

Don't stay stuck on all the negativity

Rather focus on the greater reality.

You are in lockdown

Your world and your town

So why not place fear and doubt,

negativity and everything bad in lockdown and shut them out

Don't allow it to rule your life

There is so much more I'd like to say

but unfortunately, miss Encouraging never do stay

Please do remember what I have said

So go on now, go make yourself a better bed.
