'I wake up, the sun is shining, my dog is barking, the same thing happened everyday. Nothing much to do after this actually, just visiting my dad at the hospital.'

I thought as I walked on the sidewalk. Straight to the hospital.

'Well, I never take my dog with me there so I left him at home.'

I stop by a burger shop and buy myself breakfast, also for a couple of nurses and security guards there.

'My dad has been unconscious for a month. Let me just tell you this because we certainly have a reason why are we going to the hospital. Am I right or what?'

I arrived and give some of the meal I bought at the shop to the nurses and guards.

"Thanks, Hiccup!" A guard said.

"Yeah. Anytime.." I replied.

'As you've heard, my name's Hiccup. Great name I know but it's not the worst. My parents believe that a hideous name will frighten off gnomes and trolls.'

"Hey, Hicc! What'cha you got there with you?" A nurse called me.

"Oh. Um.. Nothing much just some burgers, burritos and hot dogs I supposed." I replied.

"I'll go for the burrito.." She said.

"Alright, here you go." I said as I lend her the burrito.

"Great! Thanks!"

'Oh and don't ask why I got really popular here. It's probably becoz of my attendance. Believe me, I'm never absent.'

I went to my dad's room and waited there.

I sat down beside the bed and look at him. "Dad.. When are you gonna wake up? We need you, dad. I need you.." I mumbled and placed my hand on his.

'Now you may have asked where was my mom. Oh don't worry. She's coming. I lost her once when I was a baby. It's a really long story.'

My mom came in. Suddenly. Which made me startled.

"Mom.. You startled me.." I groaned.

"Hahah I'm sorry, Hiccup.." She chuckled.

'She's kinda um.. I don't really know how to explain with words but unlike other parents, she's not boring. She's just different and all. That's why I love her.'

"Mom.."

"Yes, dear?" She replied, smiling weirdly.

"Mom, stop smiling." I chuckled.

"Why? Can't I smile?" She asked and now she's grinning. Even worst.

"Mom, you're acting weird."

"I love being weird.." She said and chuckled. "At least I'm not acting weird in public. That'll be insane.."

I chuckled and shook my head.

'Oh how I love my mother..'
