Astrid's POV

I got a feeling that someone stared at me while I was sitting on the bench. So, I decided to go back to my room and do nothing.

I sit down on the corner of my bed. I need refreshments. In fact, I'm starting to get a little hungry.

Then, a nurse came. It was Debby.

She was actually my 'feeding-time' nurse. It's pretty obvious coz she's the one who brought my food everyday.

"Hey there, Astrid.." She said as she close the door.

"Hey Debby.. You know, you came in a perfect timing.." I joked.

"Well, you must be starving.." She replied and place the meals on the table.

"Yeah, that happened.."

She smiled and came to sit beside me. She was actually the only person I talk to and share my stories everyday. It's probably because our ages aren't so far in compare to other nurses.

"So, how did the '125th attempt' go?" She chuckled.

"Pretty well.. I failed. Again." I groaned.

"You probably should stop.." She suggested concernly.

"I can't.. You know that.."

"If it's because no one cares for you, then you're wrong.. I do care and I'll always be here to help you.."

I shook my head. "Not only that, Debby.. Look, I know you care for me.. Thank you.. But it seems like it's just no use.. Look at the past I had behind me.. It's just horrible and all.."

I shrugged. "Everytime I tried to forget it, it shows up even more. And it made me realise that I'm nothing. I'm just a piece of junk whom everyone hates and ignores."

"Astrid.. Please don't say such things.. I know you're here for a reason.. I do know that.. All you need to do is find out what was it.." She placed her arms around me.

"How am I supposed to find out without clues around me? I need them.. That's all.. But what if it doesn't show up?"

"I'm sure it will.. Patience girl.." She said.

"Debby.. I've waited.. For a long time.."

She sighed. "They won't show up instantly, Astrid.. You've got to wait.."

"Alright.. I'll try.." I smiled. "Thanks.. A lot.. You're the only one who understands me.. I really appreciate that.."

"No problem.. Just come to me if you have problems to talk about.. I'll be here for you.." She held my arms and smiled.

"Thank you.."

She gave me a hug then stood up. She truly understand me. In fact, she's the only one who understands. Well, in my opinion.

"Don't forget to eat your lunch.. I don't wanna catch you throwing your food out of the window again.." She pointed to the window.

Yeah about that, I never actually finished my lunch. I only ate half of it coz I'm never hungry. What happens to the other half? I sort of throw it out of the window. Then one time, Debby came in and caught me. Hilarious.

"I won't.. I promise.." I chuckled.

"Alright.. I'll see you later.."

I nodded.

"By the way, I think someone's starting to get curious about you.. He's quite interested at you somehow.. You should talk to him sometime.." She said as she went out of the room.

I chuckled coz I thought it was just a joke. But, wait.

Is she lying or it's actually true?
