Giving some backstory in this one and I promise it will end sweet. I don't believe in straight forward stories that have zero angst ( cause I'm a sucker for emotional rollercoasters for some reason).

Also, there is a part where I mention some forms of abuse ( like mental and verbal ), so I'm placing a trigger warning before and after it ends. As I promised, this one will end sweet and is longer so enjoy☺️

It's been a few days since I called San out for his behavior and ever since then, the aura around the apartment was thick with unspoken tension.

Whenever I was in a room with San, it was small talk. Simple yes and no questions and that was it.

I felt like I should apologize, but in the very depths of me, I know that I wasn't wrong in how I felt. I was never the type of person to sugarcoat how I feel and that goes for all species. But at that very moment, I forgot where I was and who I was dealing with. I completely forgot about the situation I was in and how an attitude or a tone like that could get me into serious trouble.

No matter how nice San and Wooyoung are to me, they both are my superiors. I'm supposed to do as I'm told and not react in such a way that could result in my termination as an employee or worse, bringing the utter shame to my family's name and everything else that goes with it. It didn't matter how nice they are to me, they can fire me and report about my behavior all while smiling in my face.

I sighed as I stared out my window, the blues sky was dull today and grey clouds stretched across them in a downcast, similar to how it feels in this apartment.

I heard my stomach growl, forgetting that I've been staying in my room to avoid confrontation as much as possible, but I am human.

I got up and left my room, making my way to the kitchen to see them both at the island counter, chatting away. When San felt my presence, he quickly excused himself and left without saying anything to me.

I wasn't trying to frown, but I must admit that from him going from his usual friendly and upbeat behavior to this affected me.

Wooyoung turned around and had a small frown adorning his face as well, " Amani, what happened?"

The words wouldn't leave my throat at first, so Wooyoung took it upon his self to bring me back into my room, despite the sounds of my stomach rumbling. He guided us into the room before shutting the door.

" Amani, you have to tell me what's going on with San won't say anything about what happened when he went to talk to you that day. I can't help and clear this tension if you don't say anything to me."

The stress was probably building up on Wooyoung's shoulders too, especially since they share a room and all.

I sighed as I sat down on the bed, patting the spot beside me. He sat down and waited for me to speak.

" Well, there was a small argument that kind of happened after we came back."

" Well, I know that but what was it all about?" Wooyoung pushed for answers, even though I had no reason not to give them to him.

" He kept pushing on the fact about how I let you bite me first instead of him. Then he kept pushing and asking me would everything have happened if it was him instead of you, but whenever I answered his question and it was never good enough for him. I just lost my temper for a quick second and I said some mean things, Woo." My face fell into my hands, sighing once more, " It was no way for me to talk to him, especially with being my employer."

"So you just felt bad because we're your superiors?" Wooyoung questioned and I was quick to respond.

" No! I generally felt bad for snapping so fast. I didn't like how quickly his face changed after I said it or how tense the apartment got between me and him and how it's affecting you too. But then I can't help but think about how I screwed something up again with my quick temper. I wanna apologize to him, but he always disappears if he has the chance to."
