Maya -

"Omg Lucas! Maya what do we do!" Riley cried as she saw Lucas lie sloppily across the seat across from here "I-I-Uh get me a tampon" I panic unbuttoning Lucas' shirt frantically, putting pressure on the wound. Riley gives me a tampon, "this is gonna hurt okay" I warn him, pushing it slightly into the cut to soak up the blood. Lucas groans in pain letting a few curse words leave his mouth

"Farkle we're going to have to go to the hospital. Zay you Farkle and Riley can complete the mission" I advise, continuing to put pressure on the wound "No..you need to..complete the ah..ah mission" Lucas trembled, clenching his muscles "it's fine Maya I'll stay with him you guys go" Riley patted from behind me "we're here" Farkle said from the front seat

Riley opened the door as we both helped Lucas out into the hospital "I'll be back..you gotta hang in there Lucas" I whisper as we get through the doors, nurses instantly coming to his aid. I slowly let go of him and exit through the same doors back to the car where Farkle begins to drive again "he'll be fine maya" Farkle reassures on the way to the storage place

"Oh I-I don't really care I just didn't want him to die in front of Riley or anything I guess" I lie trying to act cool "when are you gonna stop lying to yourself?" Zay questioned. I furrowed my eyebrows, "what do you mean?" I question "well no one goes over to his house every other night or shared hotel rooms and cling off each other all the time if you don't like him" Farkle laughed, Zay did too.

"He even got his own sister to be dancing up on a stranger because that was easier for him to watch then to watch you doing it" He added. So that's why he didn't want me doing it? Because he didn't want to see it? "We could never be together!" I protest "he is a good spy I'm a bad, he's Riley's brother, he's a year older, he doesn't even like me back he-" I ramble, cutting myself off once I realised I admitted my feelings for him, my blood covered hands covering my mouth hoping they didn't hear

"Okay One: if you or him don't care about what side your on then why would you care if anyone else does! Two: Riley probably wants you two to be together, Three: age doesn't matter and you know that! And lastly: if I liked you I would be acting and treating you the exact same way Lucas has been for like 2 months!" Zay justified "mmmmm Nooo" I smile hiding a light blush on my cheeks.

"We're here" Farkle said, Turning off the engine and getting out the car. I grab the key Rikey left behind and head to storage unit number 42. "Maya you can't touch anything they will be able to track Lucas' blood if they search the unit" Zay said as we approached the unit. "Yea so blood can't be found but your gonna leave fingerprints on the door handle and should we just wave to the camera above us right now or ?" I ask with my usual sass. Zay playfully rolled his eyes, pulling out gloves for him and Farkle and opening the door

"Your agency must have deactivated the cameras, there's no red light inside of it" Farkle states, pointing to the camera. I give him a funny look "maybe you should become a spy farkle" I laugh, earning a smile from him.

We looked around the empty storage unit, nothing but one black briefcase sitting in the very middle of the unit "do you think it's that one?" Zay joked as Farkle and I laughed. Zay checked the inside of the briefcase, confirming it was this one. We left the unit, locking the door and leaving the building swiftly before Mr Garcia's bodyguards show up. You'd think he'd have someone standing outside the unit?

"Lets go pick them up from the hospital" Farkle said as he turned on the engine again "Lucas won't be allowed to leave tonight, let's just pick up Riley and Maya can stay with him if she wants?" Zay said from beside Farkle, wiggling his eyebrows at me. Farkle nods and heads to the hospital

It took about 15 minutes to get there "have a good night guys, I'll send Riley out" I say as I open the door. They say their good nights and I head to the room the lady at the front desk said he was in. Riley was sitting outside almost fast asleep "Riles" I whisper, careful not to scare her.

Riley's is yes flutter open and she smiles kindly "they're outside waiting to take you back to the hotel, I'll stay with him" I assure her "okay thanks peaches" Riley smiled in her half asleep voice stumbling past me toward the carpark

"maybe I need to escort her out too" I mumble to myself, a small laugh followed after. At least I find myself funny.

I push open Lucas'a door, he was asleep facing the big floor to ceiling window to his right. I checked the time on my phone 1:54am. I decided to sit in his room, quietly pushing one of the arm chairs to face the window and curl up watching the LA sky outside day dreaming.

Lucas -

I stir in my sleep, uncomfortable from the pain in my lower stomach. I softly grunt giving up on sleep and deciding to just lie awake. I check the time, 2:36 am That's when I noticed the blond sitting beside the bed facing the window "Maya?" I mumble to which I get no reply "Maya?" I try again, this time getting her attention.

She gives me a big grin, getting up from her seat "what are you doing here?" I ask, expecting her to be asleep in the hotel "you didn't think I'd let you stay here alone did you? I told you I'd come back" she assures me. A warm feeling melts through my heart, a feeling I've been getting a lot lately.

"How are you feeling?" she said giving a small smile, sitting on the edge of my bed "I could be better, but I get out in the morning. The nurse said it was only minor" I reply, returning the same smile "ah good..I bet explaining the tampon was a fun one" she laughed

"According to the nurse, it saved me. She said it was a smart idea and Riley said that my girlfriend is very smart and I went like bright red in front of the Nurse..it was embarrassing" I laugh "girlfriend?" Maya asks, furrowing her eyebrows. Dammit that was definitely a story to keep between me and Riley

"I-I-Uh-I" i stumble, a heat rising onto my face "it's okay, Maya Friar has a nice ring to it" she jokes, easing my embarrassment "hey I said girlfriend not wife" I joke back making us both laugh.

Maya let's out a small yawn and turns back to the view out the window. The moon reflects off her facial features, her skin glows and her eyes sparkle as they reflect the lights in the LA skyline. It was then when I noticed the pain in my body had left and that I'd been so distracted that I had felt fine.

I take this as an opportunity to shift slightly to the right allowing enough room for her next to me. She turns back to me, noticing I've moved "come lie with me" I state, opening my arm for her. She shakes her hair no "what if I hurt you?" she asks worriedly "you could never hurt me" I assure her.

She lies down next to me and placed her head on my chest, I kissed her forehead lightly, pulling the thin hospital blanket up over her shoulders making sure she's tucked in tightly.

"Is saying I like you a bad thing to say?" I whisper, almost certain she's asleep.

"No" she said back to my surprise, "because if it was then I'd have a lot of bad things to say" She whispered, moving closer
