Lucas -

Today's the day of Mayas funeral. Since Riley coming to talk to me, I've been out the hospital. I went to school for maybe an hour or two on Monday then left. All my missions have been suspended, so I have sat in my house, wrote a speech, and then sat some more.

My parents have come to pick me up, insisting I don't drive anywhere in case I 'see' maya again. Since the car crash I haven't seen her, I get that it's a symptom and that the drugs may have made me hallucinate. so howcome I saw her before the crash?

After my parents picked me up, we arrived at the place where her funeral was being held. I sucked in a deep breath before heading inside, being greeted by many people. There was a lot of 'I'm sorry for your loss' and 'how are you holding up' as if I'm supposed to say I'm doing good

The funeral was busy, each friends family came in support, mine and Mayas extended family came along too. There were many agents both good and bad, kids from school, teachers and so many other people who I didn't even know.

Sat at the front was Katy and Shawn, Mayas boss Mr Lopez and some other relatives. Riley, Farkle, Zay, Smackle and I sat in the row behind. A coffin was placed at the top with a large bouquet of flowers on top, a picture of Maya in a big frame stood beside it.

There was music playing quietly, everyone crowded in dressed in black. The Priest gave a short speech, the normal things you'd hear at any funeral. He welcomed people and spoke nice things about Maya, who he'd never met?

"I would now ask for Lucas Friar, Miss Harts boyfriend to give a short speech of remembrance" The Priest said, moving aside. I was confused by the title Shawn and Katy had given to him because I wasn't her boyfriend, but that being the least of my problems, I held my breath the whole way up to the front before letting it go silently, looking to the crowded room before me.

"Maya Hart was such a uniquely beautiful person, she walked with confidence and never let things drag her down, always being a bright light in everyone's corner. For the short time I had known her, we had a pretty interesting relationship, she used to show up at my door many nights with a bottle of wine..or two" I joke, a small laugh coming from the crowd between their sobs.

"She was my extraordinary relationship, one that stood out from all the others. We could laugh, be serious and work as a perfect team together..We're all here today, and Maya is not. We will talk about how proud she made us. We talk about her because she deserves to be remembered in a special way. We talk about her today because even though she isn't with us Physically, we can all feel her presence shining down on us. Maya is a part of me, she's a part of you, and she's a part we could never forget. So Maya, instead of saying goodbye, this is a thank you. Thank you for coming into my life and loving me for who I am..Thank you for the memories, the special times we had together..because those are the moments I'll never forget" I finish, wiping tears from my cheeks.

The crowd applauded, copying my actions of wiping tears from their face. "May we now have Riley Matthews. Mayas Best friend since the age of 5" the priest stated. I let Riley leave before I sat down, she gave me a small pat on the chest before making her way to the front, taking off her huge cat eyed sunglasses.

Riley -

My hands trembled as I unfolded the piece of paper which had my rehearsed speech written on, I took a deep breath before looking at the crowd "Id like to start off by saying I know you'd be here with us today if heaven wasnt so far away, however saying that, you'd probably be late. Classic Maya. I'd also like to thank you all for coming here today, from someone who was close with Maya I know she would love the speeches written about her, the attention all on her today." I state, earning a laugh from the crowd before me.
