I Think I Might've Found Her

- Time jump - 4 months later -

It's pretty safe to say the last four months have been some of the hardest for the Friends and Family of Maya Hart. Mayas parents, Katy and Shawn soon got back to work trying to promote love and safety. Because of this, Shawn promoted Mr Lopez to the boss of the NYLLS agency considering he was always nice.

He had spent the past few months trying to sort through everything, restoring the goodness in the Lightland Spy's that Mr Strayer had turned evil. Mr Strayer and Joshua Matthews both remain in prison. Joshuas sentence was 25 years due to using a firearm in the murder.

One by one, the gang began returning back to school, Lucas and Riley taking the longest. They were all pretty out of it, distracted. In fact they all barely hung out together. It was like what Riley said in her speech, Maya was the glue.

Riley and Farkle stayed together and Zay and Smackle started dating shortly after the funeral. When Lucas does show up to school, he will either hang around by himself or follow around Riley and Farkle like a lost puppy.

Since telling Farkle she saw Maya at the funeral, Riley hadn't mentioned it to anyone else, scared of what it may do to Lucas If she brought it back up to him. No one else had claimed to see her, that was until now.

Lucas layed awake in a daze one night, he was awake yet asleep, he was kind of just lying there like a shell without using his brain as if it'll explode if one more thought entered.

He didn't even flinch when she walked in the room. Her appearance had changed slightly, the blueness in her skin had faded slightly, her lips stayed a similar purple colour however her hair was no longer wet.

He sat up instantly, his eyes following her as she made her way round the other side of the bed. She climbed in next to him and sat up, leaning against the head board "you need some sleep, otherwise I'm gonna keep showing up in the night" she said sweetly, guiding him to lie back down

He lied down in between her legs, hid head on her thigh, facing the door she just walked in through. He wrapped his arms around her waist, feeling her close to him. "Are you really dead" he mumbled.

The girl felt a cold liquid hitting her leg as the boy in her lap cried softly "Find me, Lucas. I'm right here like Riley said. I'm in the starts. Complete nothingness" she replied "I want you to come back to me..I was so wrong with how I treated you the week before you died. I just want to start over" he continued to mumble into her leg

"I'm right here though. You can feel me, hear me, see me, do I look dead?" She replied to him. "Your so blue, you look so lonely and unloved where you are. Did I really see you in the car the day I crashed or am I crazy?" He asked

Maya sighed, she was unloved in this space of nothingness, completely alone. Watching her friends and family from afar was the only way she felt normal again. Only being allowed to reach them in their most vulnerable times.

"Yea..it was me. You needed to see I'm still here, that's why I'm here today, you've got to find me Lucas please" she asked. Lucas slowly nodded, his eyes drooped shut as he began to fall asleep on her leg "will you be here when I wake up?" He asked quietly

"Of course. I'm always here" she replied, combing her fingers through his dark blonde hair as he fell into a deep sleep. One that he slept the whole night through.

Lucas -

I woke up surprised by my alarm that I had slept the whole night through. When I lifted my head off the pillow I still felt in a dream, hoping she was still with me. I raced out of bed to the kitchen to see if she was making breakfast like the first time she stayed over.

She wasn't.

Maya was no where to be seen. I got ready for school, the words she said engraving into my brain '"find me, Lucas?" I mumbled unsure of what she meant. Find where her body is?

I got in my new car and headed to school where I met Riley and Farkle making small talk at the bench outside history "guys I saw Maya last night" I stated, catching both their attentions "what do you mean?" She questioned.

"Like-like she was at my house she told me to find her and that she's lonely..I asked her if she's dead and she basically said she wasn't..we-we need to figure out where she is" I state, trying to remember the words from last night

"What do you mean, she 'basically said she wasn't' if Maya was really still alive then don't you think she'd you know, come home?" Farkle shrugged "Look Lucas I don't want to sound rude, but maybe you just haven't had enough to eat it enough sleep" He then said

"No-No I know she was real! I felt her I swear" I reply. Riley looked down unsure of what to say. "We should go to class" Farkle said standing up, pulling Riley with him "she kept repeating the words 'Find me, Lucas' over and over" I shout

Riley stopped in her tracks, turning back to me "she said that to me too" she replied. By then, Smackle and Zay had come over to listen to what I had to say "I saw her at the funeral and she said 'Find me, Riley' before I turned to Farkle and when I turned back around she was gone there was no trace of her" Riley stated

I nodded in agreement, "that's the same with me! There was no trace of her after. We need to find where she or-or her body is" I reply, Farkle sighs, giving in to the crazy talk "Fine. But don't get your hopes up" he stated. The bell rang signalling us to go to class, maybe we can find her after all?

Zay -

I got a mission half way through 4th period meaning I had to leave. I headed to the headquarters of the NYLLS agency, I switched with Mr Lopez to the good side. Figured I did something right by Maya.

When I got there he greeted me in his office "Zay your watch has trackers on it..detectors even that give us daily or weekly reports of how your acting. As in how your blood pressure is working or how much your brain is being used" he began, allowing me to sit in front of him

"Now Lucas for example, his has been quite low for a good few months meaning he has kind of been..under reacting to everything around him..like a shell of a human with no emotions. Now yours today had spiked quite dramatically, from being your average mood to quite stressed..on alert even. Is there something going on?" Mr Lopez asked.

"Wait..so I don't really have a mission?" I asked confused. He shook his head No. "I-I just I've been thinking a lot about Maya today for some reason. In fact i was wondering if I could do some research into her disappearance. Would I be allowed to use the library?" I ask

He nods a yes "don't stress yourself out Zay. I've already lost one of you. You may go" he said allowing me to leave the room. I nod understandingly before leaving the room and heading to the library

Once I got there I checked through each section until I came across the Life Chamber section. I pulled out a few specific books before taking a seat at the back table.

I read through a few. 'Parts to a Life Chamber' and 'what does it do' it didn't help to much until I came across page 56 titled the lightland gem. Once I read the page I slammed the book shut, checking it out and running straight back up to Mr Lopez's office

"Wow steady there boy what's wrong?" He asked as I came in out of breath "sir can you print me off Lucas' watch detectors thingy for this week" I asked. He gave me a strange look "are you on to something?" He questions. I nod my head quickly before he turns to his computer, typing a few buttons and handing a sheet to me

I scanned it quickly, my eyes beaming out of my head when I saw the part I want "perfect your amazing" I jump, getting a laugh from him and exiting the room again. I head to the file room where I asked the lady for the lightland gem file

Once she had given it to me, I shoved it in my backpack along with the books and paper from Mr Lopez and pulled out my phone on the way to my bike "everyone to Topangas NOW!" I typed, shoving it into my pocket and heading to the cafe

When i got there they all sat in front of me "what is it Zay?" Riley asked

"I think i might've found Her"
