As they stride through the glorious event, surrounded by people with so much more wealth, status and grace than Jennie had ever been able to dream of, her arm is looped around Lisa's as she cheerfully greets her colleagues and friends.

Everyone is tastefully dressed for the occasion, the laughter and jolly of silver-haired Men with bellies as big as their pockets consume the air, their regal-looking wives standing by them the whole time.

No matter how many times she got to attend these events with Lisa, no matter how many times she'd tried to adjust to the idea of being one of the many women here who served as a status symbol for their husbands, she could never accept such a lifestyle.

The irony was that the very thing she didn't want to be was the very thing she already was, the very thing she had always been. Whether the world knew it or not.

The only difference was that she was beginning to see Lisa and accept her for what she really was to her, her husband. The idea that she had come to love her, the way she loved Lisa was paving new hope in her heart that she might be able to carve out what she wanted their story to be like and not just accept what it was forced to be.

"Would you like anything?" Lisa careens into her as she whispers the words into her ear, her audience shuffling away.

"I would actually like some water please." she says softly and follows her request with a smile.

"Alright, I'll be back before you know it." she lays a kiss on the back of her hand and is soon on her way.

Jennie swiftly finds herself a seat. She couldn't deny that the pregnancy was beginning to take its toll on her. Her energy levels among other things were no longer the same, despite efforts to repress her symptoms.

She was also stressed about Nayeon, and even being here was an idea that she had realized she was not comfortable with after all. There were not a lot of flashing lights but at the depth of her stomach, she still felt that something would go wrong and this fear manifested each time Lisa touched or kissed her or showed towards her any manner of affection.

It was all her fault, had she not been putting off telling the truth this whole time, she would not be so worried.

Jennie would be naive to assume that people here hadn't noticed their interactions or didn't have their assumptions, Lisa had not paid the slightest attention, but she had. It was only a matter of time now, enough people knew about them for the truth to finally be revealed.

She silently says a prayer, if she would just get through tonight successfully, she would tell Sara about it all.

"You must be Jennie." A voice says affirmatively.

Using her peripheral vision, Jennie tries to deduce this unfamiliar person but she fails, it isn't Lisa and she promptly turns to her side.

"I'm Mino." says the stranger with a coy smile before he extends his palm.

Jennie responds to his courtesy and he lays a kiss on her hand.

She shakes her head slightly, silently conveying to him whether she was meant to know who he was just by the declaration of his first name. She can feel her eyes subconsciously rolling.
