~~~(Hopium by Dreamers)~~~
Yahtzee pops a bottle of some unknown alcohol he snatched from his group home before coming here to the high school. The gym is dark, the only light sources being the neon makeup and clothes that everyone is wearing. The music is loud and poppy, the neon balloons getting kicked around everywhere. It was Yahtzee's idea to throw a neon party here at the school after he managed to snag the keys from the gym teacher and lead everyone in through the back door. It was pretty simple. And totally worth it.
"Okay, you win." Alice trots over to Yahtzee with Lamar following behind her. Alice's blonde hair is in a high ponytail and she has white neon face paint dotted under her eyes, Lamar matching with her. "Best party of the year."
"This beats homecoming." Elenor Chai says to Yahtzee as she passes by the three of them.
"Homecoming was a snooze." Lamar agrees, putting his arm around Alice.
"Even with me?" Alice looks at him, shooting him a look to choose his words carefully.
"You were the only good thing about it." Lamar plays it off, pressing his lips against hers.
"Well I guess I am pretty good." Yahtzee watches the two of them kiss and sweeps off after deciding that's his cue to go. He moves through the dancing people around him, neon swooshes being spotted out of the corners of his eyes. Everyone's white teeth look even brighter in the lighting and just about everyone is wearing white. Yahtzee isn't even bothered by the mess he might have to clean. He doesn't throw parties often but when he does, they're ones for the books. Yahtzee spots Holland Taylor standing against the wall, looking miserable while neon paint is smeared up and down his arms. "Having fun?"
"Parties aren't really my thing." Holland answers bluntly. "And you do know that you're probably going to get expelled for this?"
"Not if nobody finds out." Yahtzee points out as he continues through the gym, taking out one of his herbal cigarettes from the pocket of his white jeans. He pulls out his lighter just as Meg twirls in front of him. She's wearing a tight white crop top and shorts, her red hair in two braids with her face decked out in cool neon designs. She kind of looks like an Indian of some sort.
"You're Yahtzee, right?" Meg points a finger at him, her skin glowing in the lighting. Yahtzee nods as he lights up. "If this is what parties in Beverly Hills is like, I would've come a long time ago."
"Welcome." He grins.
"You do know smoking turns your lungs black?" Meg glances at the cigarette in his hand.
"Enjoy the party." Yahtzee smirks before leaving her to go socialize with others, blowing a puff of smoke into the air.JC grabs both of her boobs in the gym of Seaview as she stares across the room at Holland against the wall. JC is wearing her hair in two low pigtails, her neon pink bra looking extra bright here in the dark. The details for this party flew all across social media and JC was immediately on board. She and Holland haven't really taken their relationship with each other anywhere since their biology project so she thought a party might do the job. She looks hot. He'd be an idiot to say no to her.
"Come dance with me!" JC greets Holland, reaching out for his hand.
"I don't dance." Holland shakes his head.
Holland's face falls. "Come on. It's a party. You wouldn't have come if you didn't want to dance."
"Elenor dragged me here." He responds back to her. "It's not like I came by choice."
"Well you can dance with me by choice." JC grabs his wrist and pulls him closer to where everyone else is dancing. She starts moving to the music, shaking her hips from side to side. "Do you need some liquid courage?"
"As long as it involves me passing out immediately." Holland is stiff, not daring to move to the beat with JC.
"Loosen up." JC turns around and moves her ass closer to him, hoping that in some way, he might start dancing more because her butt is right in front of him but he remains standing like a complete zombie. JC presses her back against his chest, slowly looking over to meet his eyes but just as she almost locks a stare with him, Holland steps away and leaves JC's back. She almost stumbles backwards, watching Holland leave and a little disappointed in herself. Was she trying too hard? Is he gay? He has to be. JC debates on going to run after him but it's clear that he's not in his comfort zone so she's not going to force him to be.
