~~~(Dust to Dust by The Civil Wars)~~~
   Xavier walks with Dakota along the long water fountain in the back yard of the Greystone Mansion. The moon is hanging low above them while the stars speak to each other through twinkles. The backyard is empty, the water fountain turned off since the mansion is closed for the night but the reflection of the sky moves with the tiny ripples of the water. Xavier glances at Dakota, wondering why he wanted to sneak him in here. Apparently Dakota's dad works here as a janitor or something and Dakota managed to snatch the key for them to come and enjoy the garden and the mansion itself. As long as Xavier has lived in Beverly Hills, being in the mansion is one thing he has never done. And he's not sure why, now that he's here. It's pretty awesome... and romantic.
   "So why did you bring me here?" Xavier looks away from Dakota, unable to wipe the smile from his face .He can't remember the last time someone did something this romantic with him- even if they are just walking around the garden. There's something about everything here that makes it all so romantic. Is that Dakota's intentions?
   "I thought it would be fun to break a few rules." Dakota shrugs, taking out a cigarette from the front pocket of his dark jeans. His face piercings glimmer in the moonlight and he offers a cig to Xavier but he shakes his head. "Especially with you."
   "Why me?" Xavier gets his hopes up, hoping Dakota says something romantic next.
   "You're too much of a goody goody." Dakota smirks, lighting his cigarette before putting it between his lips.
   "I am not a goody goody." Xavier shoves Dakota towards the fountain they're walking next to.
   "Now you wanna fight, huh?" Dakota laughs, nudging Xavier away from him with his arm.
   "I could take you." Xavier shoves him back before Dakota grabs him and pulls him to the grass, hovering over him.
   "This isn't the part where you kiss me, right?" Xavier stares at him, feeling the dewy green grass seeping through his shirt. "You smell like cigarette."
   "What makes you think I even want to kiss you?" Dakota rolls off of Xavier and stares up at the sky. "Does everything have to be some big deal with you?"
   "Everything is not a big deal to me." Xavier argues, staring up with Dakota.
   "Yeah, it kinda is." Dakota takes a drag. "No offense."
   "Well at least I don't make everything so complicated." Xavier shoots back.
   "Quoting Avril Lavigne now?" Dakota lets out a chuckle.
   "Why do you do that, anyways?" Xavier puts his hands on his stomach, sounding curious. "Why is everything so difficult for you to come to terms with?"
   "If you think I'm struggling with my sexuality or something, you can leave now." Dakota advises.
   "I'm not talking about that." Xavier says honestly. "I'm talking about the fact I know you like me but you're having some weird time dealing with that. Am I right?"
   "Tell, Xavier Archer, why do you think a guy like me would like a guy like you?" Dakota looks over at him wearing a smirk on his face. "Because opposites attract?"
   Xavier tries not thinking too much about the question. Why does he make it sound like Xavier is so hard to like? He shrugs a shoulder. "No, because you made out with me at a party and let me give you a hand job in the bathroom stall."
   "That could mean I just want action." Dakota puts the cigarette between his lips again.
   "So you're not the relationship type?" Xavier questions.
   "Relationships are a waste of time, my friend." Dakota sighs.
   "Why do you think that?" He wonders aloud.
   "I've never really seen love or any of that bullshit work out." He explains. "My parents hate each other, my sister got a divorce two years after being married, and every single time I've fallen for someone, it hasn't worked out."
   "I think you're wrong on that." Xavier speaks his mind even though his opinion wasn't asked.
   "So?" Dakota chuckles. "I'm not asking you to agree."
   Xavier rolls his eyes at him. "You're kind of negative, aren't you? You have that whole... gothic, dark, mysterious thing going on, thinking it's working for you. And yeah, you're attractive and everything but-"
   "Can you just shut up?" Dakota continues staring up in space. "We're laying in the grass at Greystone mansion and you're rambling on about love and all that shit." He looks over at him. "Why don't you just lay here and forget all that because deep down you know THAT type of stuff is negative, not the person who voices it?"
   Xavier blinks, realizing he has a point. He stares up at the stars without another word. He really doesn't even want to hook up with Dakota anymore. Laying here with him is enough. He's completely fine with the two of them laying side by side and not touching. Dakota being this close to him is enough, for some weird reason.
