The Scream

Serena and her parents ran down the stairs, into the living room where they saw Dr. Danton. He was standing there looking at the floor, his back was turned toward Serena and her parents, so they couldn't see his face.

"Hey doc, are you ok?" her father asked.

"Hmm? Oh, oh sorry! something fell on the floor, and my head started to spin a little, I'm ok though"

"Okay, so now that we are up, I guess we should get ready and go back to the house?" Serena asked.

"Yes! yes! right away, don't want to waste any time! now there are towels in the bathroom, extra toothbrushes, and a hair brush. You can help your self to anything in the kitchen, I will be getting ready and grabbing my tools and equipment! Dr. Danton said as he rushed up the stairs.

Serena and her parents stood there, they looked worried, they soon went separate ways. Serena went to the kitchen, her mother went to wash up, and her father went to go brush his teeth. After a while, everyone ate and was ready. Dr. Danton ran down the stairs with three huge bags, all stuffed. He looked better than what they had seen earlier, he moved fast, he gathered more stuff. A little bit later, he seemed to be counting how much he had, and thinking about what he had.

"Ok I seem to have everything! Are you ready?" Dr. Danton inquired.

Serena and her parents looked at each other, and nodded.

"Great! Now, you can lead the way." Dr. Danton said.

Serena's father got his keys, and they all went to the car. They got in, and started driving to the house. The car was completely silent. Not a single noise or word was spoken. They arrived at the house. Dr. Danton saw the house and ran out of the car. he stepped right in front of the doors, he started smiling. Serena and her parents were still in the car, they looked terrified to get out of the car. Dr. Danton soon noticed this, he walked back to the car.

"Hey, I know that this is terrifying, but in order to solve this, we all need to go inside."

Serena got out and so did her mother and father, her father unlocked the door, Dr. Danton ran right in and started setting up the equipment. after most of the tools were set, he started asking questions,

"So where does each of you sleep? where does most of the activity start? How long does it take for the noises you hear to stop?

Serena looked carefully towards her parents, they had looked terrified.

"Um, I sleep upstairs, third door on the right, mom and dad sleep in the first door to your left. Uhh. . . Most of the activity starts wherever I am at, there isn't much activity in one specific area. uh . . . . . I don't really keep track of how long the noises occur for, I mainly run and hide."

"Okay, so I'll set up cameras everywhere except for the bathrooms, I know that it seems like an invasion of privacy, but in order to understand what is going on I'll need to put equipment everywhere."

Serena's parents nodded. Serena, her mother, and her father were terrified, the only one who wasn't was Dr. Danton, all he did was set up, and test. Soon after, it was getting late, Serena wanted to sleep but she couldn't, she didn't feel safe. All she could think about was about the negative aspects of this, she really wanted to sleep, her parents were in their room, they weren't sleeping either. They all went to sleep after about two hours. Then they kept hearing a clicking sound, then screaming again, then it just stopped and started laughing! Serena ran out, her parents ran downstairs, Dr. Danton was checking his equipment he grabbed the one with the pictures from the cameras in the room. They ran outside, Dr. Danton started flipping through it, he looked up with the most terrifying look on his face. He slowly turned the photo, and it was the little girl's body, floating in the air, the next one showed her sitting and playing, and the next laughing. But after those, it showed the shadow, it was swirling in the air, but it seemed to be where every camera was. Serena's parents and Dr. Danton looked at the house. Serena stared at the photo with the little girl and the shadow.
