The shadow

Serena

"Dad! dad! are you ok?? what happened?!"

"I'm. . . . . . . I'm. . . . . Im ok. . . . Something just hit my leg. . . . . And. . . And it just hurts. I'll be fine! Serena's father said.

"Dad, do you realize that you don't look ok? where is mom and Dr. Danton?? weren't they suppose to be with you?"

"Yeah they were, I think they went into the house."

"What??"

"Yeah, you can go check."

"Tanna can you call the ambulance? Talia can you come with me?

"Yeah, I was just about to do that. be careful though." Tanna said.

"Thank you and We will."

Talia and Serena went into the house, Serena called for her mom and called for Dr. Danton. there wasn't an answer. Serena went to the kitchen, and flicked the light switch, it wasn't coming on.

"Great!" Serena thought.

They check the downstairs and then they checked upstairs, but couldn't find anything.

"Don't you have a phone? call your mom and see if she answers!"

"My phone is dead, I can't call anyone."

"Oh, well what do we do now?"

"I guess we'll go back outside and think."

They went downstairs and they saw something! It was the shadow, her mom and Dr. Danton! Serena's mom and Dr. Danton was floating in the air! They seemed motionless, like they couldn't do anything. Serena cried out

"MOM!!"

No one answered, only the shadow telling her to shush, the shadow moved closer to Serena, but stopped and went back to her mom. It moved over to Dr. Danton and did something! It went inside of his body, Dr. Danton screamed, it was so loud, he stopped, he wasn't breathing! he slowly drifted towards the group and spoke,

"I am only doing this because I need a host, your mother seems like the perfect candidate but I have to check everyone first. Did you saw your father out there? that was me trying to consume him, he fought back, hard. your mother's weakness is you, I pretended to be you and she fell for it. Dr. Danton on the other hand I'm kind of bored of him, he is too easy! now why don't we try your mother!?

The shadow started laughing, Dr. Danton began screaming, the shadow exited his body, the blackness swirling in the air like smoke, it entered her mother's body!

Her mother eyes shot open, her eyes weren't normal, it was black, her mother looked more pale, her hair was floating, her mother moved toward Talia and Serena, she began to speak,

"Oh, hi sweetie! are you enjoying our guest? she is so nice, is this Talia? where is her mother? I would love to see her! she's outside isn't she? oh sweetie if only you were more open, kind, and more like that little girl!"

"Mom! what are you saying? please stop, come back with me! I know your still in there! please, please come back!"

"You think your mother is still here?! HA! if only so! Oh how I love to see horror in others faces! oh and one more thing, I will have your whole family! we will become great friends!"

Serena looked over at Talia they ran! They ran all the way to Serena's room where they saw the little girl.

"Hello. I have been waiting for you, I think I'll be able to help you."
