Everyone stood there, terrified, her mother started to cry, her father looked
at Dr. Danton and Serena just stood there. No one spoke a word, the sun was beginning to rise, and they just stood there. Serena looked at the picture and thought,
"So, it's true then. I guess Talia was telling a legend that just happened to be true."
After a while Serena spoke,
"Remember when I went for a walk when we first moved here?"
Her parents nodded.
"Well I met a girl, her name is Talia, she told me about the legend of the little girl and the shadow, and. . . .Well. . . . . She thought it was just a legend, but I guess it's true."
"Serena, honey, you told us about this already, do you want to go talk with Talia? maybe she knows something else." her mother said.
Serena nodded her head, and began walking over to Talia's house. she knocked on the door. An older woman came to open the door, she had messy light brown hair, she was wearing a robe, and looked very tired.
"I'm sorry ma'am but I was looking for Talia, I know it's really early, but this is kind of important, is it possible I can speak with her?"
"Sure, she isn't awake yet, what's your name?"
"Serena."
"Oh your Serena! Talia has been talking so much about you, I'm her mother, you can call me Tanna, I'll go wake Talia, I'm sure she will be more than happy to speak with you. You can come in and wait in the living room if you like!"
"Thank you Tanna!"
Tanna ran up the stairs, and Woke Talia up.
"Ugggghhhh! MOM IT'S TOO EARLY!"
"Well I guess then I'll tell Serena to go back home!" Tanna said.
Talia shot up out of bed,
"Serena? she's here!?"
"Yes! now get your butt out of bed and go get ready! she is waiting for you downstairs, she says that it's something important."
"Ok, tell her I'll be down in 10 minutes."
Talia went to the bathroom, and did her business. Tanna ran downstairs, still in her robe,
"Hey serena, Talia will be down in 10 minutes. would you like some juice?"
"Sure Tanna, I would love some."
Talia soon came down, she looked a little tired.
"Hey Serena! what's up?"
"Hey, I need to speak with you about that legend,"
"Okay, what about it?"
"Well, I don't want to scare you. . . . but. . . . . It's real."
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahgahah! Oh that hilarious, oh hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahah, oh, that a good one!
"Talia, I'm serious, I have proof. I need your help, can you tell me anything else about the legend?"
"Oh. My. Gosh. YOU'RE SERIOUS!!"
"Yes, I know it's hard to believe, but I've seen it! We have a a scientist come in and put up cameras, there are pictures."
"Oh god! I don't know much about the legend, but I think my mother would help."
"Hey Tanna, I was wondering if I ask for your help. My family had a problem, and you're not going to believe this. . . . .But. . . . . . . The legend of the house we live in is true!"
"Hahahahahahahahahahaha! oh that's hilarious!"
Serena looked at her.
"YOU'RE SERIOUS?? HOW DO YOU KNOW?!"
"We have pictures of the shadow and the little girl!"
"Okay um, I'll come over to your house, and speak with your parents about what I know."
"Thank you Tanna and Talia! your so helpful!"
"Anything for a friend!" Talia said.
They all walked over to Serena's house. but when they came, they saw Serena's father on the ground, his leg was bleeding!
