Every Time It Rains // L.H.

Part 15

         "Luke! You brought me to the zoo?" I smile and start to laugh.

        "Is it stupid? Gah it's stupid isn't it?" He rubs the back of his neck.

        "No Luke! Thank you!" We walk up to the gate of the zoo, where Luke purchases tickets and we walk in. The first thing we are gorillas. "Awwe Luke look at them they are adorable!" Then one of the gorillas look my way and literally waves.

        "Hey bruh. No flirting with my girlfriend." He laughs. 

        "Jealous much?" I laugh. "It's okay LUKEY POOKEY I think I'm way out of his league." Then I grab his hand and walk off. The next animal we see are tigers. My favorite animal. "LUKE!" I let go of his hand and run to the cage thingy.

        "Have you never seen a tiger before?"

        "In books  I have... I've never been to a zoo." I smile then keep admiring the animal.

        "You look adorable." he says smiling. "Let's go."

        By now we had already seen giraffes, monkeys, birds, zebras, deer, and many aquatic animals. Oh and elephants. I loved them. 

        "Luke what's your favorite animal?" I ask swinging our entwined hands back and forth as we walk towards the "cold exhibits". He drops my hand. I look at him, his eyes wide and his mouth open

"Those!" He sprints off towards the penguins. Oh my gosh! I chase after him.

        "Luke! Your favorite animal is a penguin?" I smile and laugh he is still staring with excitement.

        "YES! THEY ARE FUCKING ADORABLE!" He smiles. We sit on a bench and watch as the penguins show off. But then the worst thing happened. I look to my left after someone taps my shoulder.

        "You know you seemed somewhat familiar but I couldn't tell who you were until now. Hey babe." He smirks. I can feel anger and rage bubbling up inside of me.

Alex.

        "What the hell go away you are stupid I don't want to see your face ever again WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?" I yell making a scene. Luke gripping my hand tight.

        "You know you shouldn't talk to me like that!" He says grabbing my shoulder so tight that i screamed. Then Luke grabs his arm and yanks it off of me. 

        "DON'T YOU EVER, AND I MEAN EVER, TOUCH HER AGAIN!" Luke yells.

        "Or what?" Alex smirks. 

        "Oh you'll find out if you try to touch her again." Luke grabs my hand and walks off with me. Quite fast too. My shoulder hurt so much I wanted to cry. "Do you want to go home?" Luke asks. I just nod. I don't trust myself to open my mouth in fear I'd Start to cry uncontrollably. We head towards the exit gate and get to the car. Where I lower my shirt down so I can see my shoulder. It already had a huge bruise. I covered it quickly before Luke could see it. I knew he would try to put an even bigger bruise on Alex. He turns to me, "Im sorry."

        "For what Luke?" I ask mad that he's probably going to try and take the blame.

        "This date was going well until that bastard came and ruined it!" He says. He looks at my shoulder. "How is it?"

        "It's fine." I lie. Then lean over and cover it up with a kiss. "It wasn't ruined. See?"

        "Yea. I missed this." he smirks then leans in again to kiss me.

        We were finally home. I was exhausted so was Luke. I went to go take a shower and looked in the mirror at my reflection once I was naked. My shoulder was completely purple and greenish and black. He really hurt me. I jumped into the shower and relaxed for the evening.
