Every Time It Rains // L.H.

Part 6

I look down at Ashton who is holding his bloody nose. "Lily, I'm sorry."  He sighs.

"I get it! We were playing truth or dare, but you didn't have to kiss me like you meant it! A quick peck on the lips would have been okay! But a fucking passionate kiss? What the fuck Ashton?!" I yell. I shake my head at him go to the room. I enter only to see a tensed up Luke. He was trying to process what happened. I walk up to him, "Luke? Are you okay?" He looks down at me.

"You enjoyed the kiss didn't you." Well that came out of nowhere.

"What? Luke why would you think that?"

"I don't know, just the fact he kissed you made me thinking about you liking him, and..." Tears starting forming in his eyes, "Lily I can't lose you to one of my best friends! Nor can I lose you at all! As crazy as it sounds even though we've dated each other for only 3 weeks we've know each other for the past five years We've bumped into each other, and I would stare at you and hope that you'd notice me. I bumped into you that day we first hung out hoping that you would talk to me, and I am so lucky, that I got to take you home with me that very day. So yes as crazy as it sounds, I'm in love with you, Lilian Marie Jones". He says, grabbing my hands in his. it took him not longer than 5 seconds to kiss me.

Luke and I were still in the room. We just sat the room for about thirty minutes.

"Luke?" 

"Hmm?"

"We should probably go back. Check on Aston." We were holding each other in our arms. I felt Luke tense up. "Luke, I know it will be uncomfortable but we have to. And I know you'll hate what I'm about to say, but I need to talk to Ashton, alone." He then holds me tighter.

"Why?" He asks trying to stay calm.

"Because I need to know why he did that." I simply tell him, "and confront him, he can't do that ever again and he needs to know that." 

"Okay." He says. He gets up and holds my hand as we head to the living room, where Ashton is sitting on the couch, holding a tissue to his nose. Steph is sitting on Calum's lap and they are both talking, Michael was playing FIFA. Luke lets go of my hand and sits next to Ashton. "Sorry, man." He looks to Ashton who nods his head. "We're cool?" Luke asks. Ash just nods again. I guess this was my cue. 

I walk up to Ashton and sit next to him, "Ashton, we need to talk. Kitchen."

"So? Why did you do that?" I ask 

"About a year ago, I had a girlfriend who was a lot like you. Personality, hair color, eyes, height, even the way you talk you sound a bit like her." He said, "About two months ago she died. In a car accident. When i kissed you, I imagined I might feel as if You were her. I don't know, I just hoped that by some chance, it would feel like I was with her again." He choked up at the end. "Every day I wake up hoping to see her knocking at my door, or bump into her at the store. But it never happens." He started to cry. I did what anyone with a heart would do, I told him it's okay and hugged him.

"Ashton, I think you need to move on. It's not good to dwell on things like that." 

"Your right, I do need to move on, I'm sorry." He says.

"I forgive you. Just don't do it again. You really scared Luke." He nods. We leave the kitchen and I sit next to Luke on the couch. I Luke at Luke and he is staring at me, "What?" I ask laughing.

"Your the most beautiful person ever!" He says smirking then he starts to tickle me and tackles me to the ground.

"Luke stop!" I laugh. He looks at me and kisses me. His hands still under my shirt on my waist.

"You guys! Really while I'm eating!" Michael yells. Luke looks at him, breaking the kiss.

"Quiet, Michael!" He says then kisses me again.

"NEVER!" he yells. Before anyone could comprehend what Michael was going to do, he jumped on to the couch that Luke and I were on, and tackled us both. Luke threw Michael off the couch on to the floor, tackling him back. They were laughing so hard. Then Ashton and Calum jumped in. I look at Steph who is laughing. I go and sit next to her.

"Steph, he's the one."

"Huh?" She asks confused.

"He is the only boy I want to spend the rest of my life with. I feel like nothing in the world is greater than the way I care for him. I'm not sure how this happened, but it's like instantly we became a big part in eachother's worlds."

"Love is crazy that way," she says matter-of-factly.

"Steph, do you think these boys will be a part of our lives for a while?" I ask.

"I think so, I think they wil be a part of our lives forever."
