Every Time It Rains // L.H.

Part 12

London's POV 

"Lily?" Luke exhales, like he just saw a ghost. I just smile.

"It's me, Luke. I went to college, I became a journalist, I'm going to be head news reporter for Sydney. I changed a few things. I feel better. But part of me is missing, that part is you guys. I'm sorry I left without warning but I didn't want to make things harder for everyone. I hope you guys will take me back, Luke I hope we can resume where we we-" I was cut off by Luke pulling me into a hug. He cut the hug short by  holding my head in his hands and greeting me with a passionate kiss.

"I missed you so much." He says breathing heavily. Then everyone gets up towards me and hugs me everyone crying. I look at Steph before I hugged her. Then we cried together, mainly tears of joy. Luke then walks up to Steph and I. I let go of Steph and turn to Luke. "Let's go for a walk." He says.

We went outside, just me and Luke. And we're walking down the sidewalk. "So what did you do while you were in London?" He asks.

"I first tried to find a job, and I got one at Starbucks. Then I had to find a cheap apartment. After I was up on my feet, I enrolled in the community college there. Hackney Communtiy College is where I decided to become a journalist. Then I did the big stuff. I changed my name carefully. London for the fact that's where I started a new life, Charli because My dad's name was Charlie, and Peterson because I've never heard anything bad happen to a guy with the last name of Peterson. then I changed my hair color, cut it, and got a peircing, because I've always wanted one." I laugh.

"Lil- London. Sorry I'm gonna have to get used to that. Well, um did you have any relationships while you were there? Anybody you met?" He looked up at me after staring at the ground while saying 'relationships'.

"No. I've been single for the past 5 years 7 months and-" I was cut off

"Two weeks." He smirked "I told you I'd wait. And i hope you want to continue where we left off." He grabs my hands and stares into my eyes, melting my heart.

"Are you sure I haven't hurt you too much?" I ask my eyes collecting tears that I am trying not to let slip out. 

"If you hurt me too much I wouldn't of waited for you." I smile.

"Luke I would love to be your girlfriend again. I would love to be yours. For the past 5 years I have had boys hit on me. But I didn't want any of them. I just wanted you." Great. the tears were falling. He wipes the tears away and kisses me softly, but full of passion.

"So what's new between all of you?" I ask. 

"Well Nettie and Ashton are an official couple, so are Savannah and Michael," Steph tells me, "As for me and Calum..." She drifts off just holding up her hand. I look at it and there on her left ring finger was an engagement ring. we both stand up and jump up and down screaming. 

"LADIES! WE HAVE EARDRUMS THAT WE DONT WANT DESTROYED! Calum yells Then we apologize.

"When Is the wedding?" I ask. 

"In two months." She says, "And London, now that your back I was hoping you'd be my maid of honnor." She asks smiling. And I start crying again.

"Yes yes yes! A million times yes! I'm gonna throw the fucking best bacheloret party ever!" I yell.

"Bring on the male strippers!" Steph yells pumping her fist in the air.

"NO MALE STRIPPERS!" Calum and Luke yell at the same time.

"Sorry guys but it has to be done!" I say. Then they both stand up and seductively take off their shirts, making Steph and I laugh."By the way Luke, can I live with you?" Everyone freaked out except for Luke.

"Yea sure." He says simply starting to eat a banana.

"Good, can everyonne help me get my stuff from the car, Its not much just clothes, my laptop and phone charger, and like a box of junk."

"Yea sure babe. Luke says kissing my forehead. Then walks outside with Michael. I stay inside with everyone just talking to them. Luke and Michael come back in with the few boxes and I follow them to the guest room where it is already furnished. And start unpacking.

Everyone was gone now. Luke was just helping me unpack. "Are you sure it's okay if I stay here?"

"Baby, of coarse!" He says wrapping me in hug. Since I was already out of my heels My face was in his chest with his chin resting on top of my head. I started to yawn and Luke breaks the hug. "You're tired. Ill let you rest. Good night Love." He says leaving the room. I took a shower and changed into pajamas. then jumped into bed.

I woke up screaming. Yes I still had the nightmares. That's one thing I can't change but I've learned to live with them. Luke comes running in embracing me and wrapping his arms protectively around me. "You still have those?"

"Every night. It was hard without you." I say whimpering a bit. He just laid down next to me. wrapping his protective arms around me again, keeping the nightmares away. How did I even spend 5 years without him? But now he's here. And hopefully for good.
