✞Jade✞

The backseat of my car was beginning to anger me. It was cold and cramped. I didn't want to sleep in it another day.

The car was running out of gas, I was running out of money.

I shook violently from the cold as I weighed my options.

My teeth shook so hard I couldn't hear my muttering thoughts.

I turned the car on and blasted the heat.

I could go back home and face my mom, or I could go back to Kacies house and apologize.

I wanted to do neither. I took a sip of the water that I found laying around the car. I grimaced at the taste once again. It was old. Frozen and Melted, and Re-Frozen. Again and Again.

I had to pee.

Two days in a car, with no shoes and limited money does that to you.

I had to pee really bad.

I drove in circles until my gas light flashed in my eyes. I parked a block away from Kacies and turned my car off.
I climbed into the backseat.

My bladder was killing me.

Tomorrow was Monday, maybe I can pee at school tomorrow.

No, I had to pee now.

Shit.

Sighing I went to climb back to the front seat, but my stomach lurched unexpectedly.

I stopped and blinked.
I couldn't see.

Panicked I closed my eyes tight and opened them again. My stomach gurgled and I groaned in pain.

No food for almost three days and limited water sucks.

I suddenly felt very light and I scrambled to the front seat.

I grabbed the water bottle and chugged the remains of it. I didn't care about the taste right now. I was about to pass out.

I sat still for two minutes, waiting for the water to enter my system before I tried to turn the car on.

It took four times and both hands to get the key turned.

What was wrong with me?

It felt like my hands were going numb.

Shit.Shit.Shit.Shit

I backed up and spun around, not caring that I ran over the curb.

I needed to get somewhere fast. I couldn't pass out here in the cold. I'd die.

Maybe that wasn't so bad.
No. Don't think like that.

I blinked and my peripheral vision became foggy.

"Noo, shit." I cursed as I had to slow down. My stomach clawed at itself.

I sighed in relief as her house came into view. Her moms car wasn't in the driveway.

I left the car on and took a breath.

The black spots were starting to show themselves. Getting bigger and darker as I struggled to control my body.

I managed to kick the car door open.

I stumbled face first into the front lawn covered in snow. My purple hair instantly soaked. The bitter cold snapped me awake.

I dragged my feet, breathing shallow to the front door.

I pounded on the door weakly. I attempted to blink the black spots away. It didn't work.

I raised my hand again when footsteps pounded on the other-side of the wooden guard.

She flung the door open, red-tired eyes and greasy blonde hair. Face flushed and worried. She was still perfect in my eyes.

"Oh Jade." She exclaimed as I fell into her arms. She caught me and dragged me inside.

I attempted to move but the snow had frozen my soaking socks to ice. My feet were numb.

Kacie sniffed and muttered apologies. I wanted to tell her to stop. This was all my fault.

I felt something soft underneath me and noticed the burgundy color of the couch. I couldn't see and my body floated.

"It's going to be okay Jade, I Love You."

I couldn't even react before I passed out.
