Todoroki's POV

I walked out of the boys locker room in my U.A. swimming trunks. I turned to walk to the pool where my classmates were already waiting.
"Hey, Todoroki!" I heard to my left.
"Oh. Hey, Y/N." I replied in my normal monotone voice. "Are you going to the pool too?" Her face flushed red.
"Uh... yes." She looked away from me, fidgeting with her shirt.
"Then why don't you have a bath suit?" Her eyes widened.
"Uhhh... Because I'm not going swimming?" I cocked my head to the side.
"But this is a great opportunity to use your quirk in a controlled water environment. Why wouldn't you want to use that to your advantage?" I could think of numerous ways that Y/N could use her quirk in water. She could use her hands to manipulate air.
"Ummm... Yeah... you're right...but... the thing is..." I stared at her, awaiting her answer. She sighed. "I can't swim."
"Oh. Well, swimming is an important skill in saving people from a water scenario. Do you want me to teach you?" She looked up at me with a cute sparkle in her eyes.
"You'd do that for me??" I gave her a small side smile.
"Sure." She grabbed my hand and started bouncing towards the pool area. I don't think she realized she did, because normally she would ask permission to touch me in anyway. I shrugged and let her drag me towards our destination.
Y/N had this interesting way about her that makes me wanna know more. She intrigues me.
"Hey, guys!!" Midoriya called to us. "What kind of training are you guys gonna do today?"
"I'm gonna teach Y/N to swim." I replied. I saw Y/N's face go red out of the corner of my eyes when Midoriya started talking to her.
"You can't swim, Y/N?" She shook her head no, releasing my hand and turning so she didn't have to look at Midoriya. His face lit up. "I can help you learn!" She looked back at him.
"Really??" A feeling permeated its way into my chest. I wanted to spend this time with Y/N, and I didn't want to have to share her. What's this feeling called?
"No, that's fine, Midoriya. I got it under control." He looked at me with an unreadable expression for a moment, before he broke into a knowing smile.
"Ok, that's fine! Let me know if you need help!" I nodded before turning to Y/N.
"Can you float?" She nodded, so I grabbed her by the hips and threw her into the pool. I heard Bakugo explode in laughter from the other side of the pool.
"Are you trying to drown your girlfriend, Icy-hot?!" My eyes never left Y/N in the pool.
"She's not my girlfriend." I called as she surfaced. She grabbed onto the edge of the pool as sat for a moment to catch her breath. She glanced up at me with a fire in her eyes. Suddenly, she reached up and pulled me into the water, too. She giggled as I splashed her.
"Haha, very funny." She gave me a big smile. "Now, try making your way to me." I walked backwards until my back hit the lane dividers. She looked nervous before she released the pool wall and doggy paddled towards me. She landed in my arms and I nodded.
"You have a basic idea of how to swim, so that's good. Try to get back to the wall."
After a good while, I had managed to teach Y/N how to freestyle swim. She was super smiley and giving me lots of hugs.
"Thank you so much, Todo!" She buried her face in my bare chest. I looked up to see Mineta and Kaminari silently whooping and hollering, pointing at the two of us. I rubbed her back.
"It's my pleasure, Y/N." Bakugo suddenly slammed both of the boys' heads together, knocking them out in the process. She looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back.
After she released me, she came up to my eye level. Suddenly, her lips were on mine. My eyes widened, but I closed them and kissed her back.
Her lips were like soft pillows. I wrapped my arms around her and laid my hands on her back. We split only because of the need to breathe air. I loved holding her in my arms, and I loved being in hers.
"Will you... be my boyfriend, Todoroki?" I nodded, staring into her eyes. I pressed my lips to hers once more.
"Hey guys, what did we miss?" Mina asked, coming around the building. I heard her gasp as she saw us. She screeched like a banshee.
