Suzuki Ryūko's P.O.V
Good day, readers. My name is Suzuki Ryūko, the elder twin sister of Suzuki Iruma. We were born form the human world, sold to a demon by our scumbag human parents, and now, we had to live in the realm of demons: the Netherworld.
The demon we were sold to was Lord Sullivan, one of the Thirteen Crowns' Three Greats and the Chair-Demon of the demon school Babyls. Iruma and I attend this school, but we haveto keep our human identities secret; who knows if any demon would come and eat us. We made friends with demons of all sorts of kinds, from the two top freshman students and a child-like demon girl, to some ambitious and confident demons.
There were many upperclassmen who were recruiting freshmen to join something called a Battler. Those are the same thing as clubs. Iruma and I bumped into an upperclassman who was at the rank of Bet (2) and was bullied for it. But in spite of that, I stand up for him and even protect him. As my upperclassman, I know he doesn't deserve this treatment at all, though he is a Bet (2). He hopes to create magical apparatuses that will help weak demons use magic like others, so that they can be treated equally. What a feeling I felt in my chest was warm and moving. Before he left, I left him this word of advice:
"No matter whoever thinks you're not fit for this, no matter how weak you are, no matter how low your rank is, you'll grab your ambition within the meantime. Because you're the one with this goal that no other demon can touch. That is a wonderful goal to help those without much magic, and that makes you a wonderful demon."
At that moment, he stared at me with awe as I held his chin up for him to make eye contact with me. Time after, Iruma and I met him again. An explosion came from his Battler room, which was the Magical Apparatus Battler. His name was Amy Kiriwo, Third-Year and the only member of the Battler. He showed us a few things, but he coughes up blood from recoils and pushing himself too hard. He's a rather frail demon and doesn't have much magic. Iruma and I thought, being human, we were the only ones who should worry about our lack of magic; but we were wrong.
I helped him at certain points. We spent some time together and I asked if we didn't have magic, would he still let me and Iruma decide on our fate upon his Battler. He realised that we were alike at some terms. I told him of my Arachne demon features and my physicial strength. Though he requested me to show him my strength in a friendly match if arm wrestling, I refused, because I mst respect his weaknesses are not to be meddled with and if I did accept the request, I would dishonor myself and my Netherworld house. He was suprised when I said such things and he said that he has never been treated with such valued respect and that I have a heart of gold, despite my outer coldness towards many others. I was flustered and felt so mortified that my face heated up.
A day after, Iruma and I brought our three demon friends to Amy-senpai's Battler room and told him that we were all joining him. He fainted at the spot and I begged hin to awake with concern lacing my voice.
I suppose this should be where I would leave off my introduction to the story. I hope you will enjoy this story, where we can find through the programme of demon law understanding an experience to never forget.
