Suzuki Ryūko's P.O.V
Another day, another time to be hanging out with my dear Master after eating. Man, how much I want to be with him badly. Ever since this programme started, us two got to know each other better and begun to be closer as best friends. But with my romantic feelings for him not revealled much, I haven't found a good time to tell him how I feel.
I was sure he told me to be at the rooftop under the Diabotany Tower, but I didn't see him there. Until I felt a presence behind me and arms wrapped around my torso. "Heya, Ryūko-chan." Greeted a familiar voice. I looked up to see that my master was there. "Master. You suprised me." I said. He let go of me and asked: "Somethin' smell sweet here. Did ya make somethin again?" "A-Ah, no. That's just a fragrance from my skin moisteriser." I said, "It was supposed to smell like strawberries and cherry blossom. Do you... like it?" "I really like that sweet scent." Said Master, "Makes ya smell... appetizin'." Wait, WHAT!? Did he just flirt with me or was that based of the part were demons eat pure human? I have no idea which, but I took it as flirting and I was instantly a blushing mess. "M-Master, d-did you just... flirt with me?" I asked while hiding my face with my hands. "Wait. I did?!" Asked Master, who seemed to not realise what he said until just now. Both of us stared to look as red a tomatoes. I did not anticipate this at all. Master flirting me by accident?!
After a minute of awkward silence, we recovered from blushing. Master and I sat down on a bench nearby and he had a sketchbook with him, which he was drawing on. "What are you drawing, Master?" I asked. "Hang on a sec, Ryūko-chan." Said Master, "I let ya see in a little bit." It took him a minute or so to say for him to finish drawing. He showed me his sketch of himself with me. A cherry blossom flower flew on my nose, which seemed cute. The sketched Master took it off of my nose and placed it over my ear. I thought this was an adorable scene. "Squee! This is so cute!" I exclaimed. "Right? That's what I was wantin' to see." Said Master, "So, what do ya wanna do after school and homework today?" "I think I would be trying to make some sweet cookies or something." I replied, "Or maybe I would practice viola for a while. I can't decide on what to do." "Well, why not we try on an activity we can do together?" Suggested Master. My heart skipped a beat hearing as I thought: "Does he really want to do something with me?" "So, what do you like to do during your free time?" I asked. "Well, I like readin' and drawin'." Said Master, "But maybe I wanna try doin' something that you would like to do." "Well, to your capabilities, maybe we could... make some sweets." I suggested with some thought. "Sounds great!" Exclaimed Master, "But go easy one me."
We talked about what sweets can we be making after school, from wagashi and mochi to eclairs and macarons. The discussions went around and around for several rounds to figure out our selected sweet. "Wow, you have a fancier choose while I have somethin', well. Y'know." Said Master. "It's true." I said, "At the café I used to work at, I was often told to work with common European sweets, but some of them are highly priviledged-looking. It was a 4½-star café, so I'm quite lucky." "Yeah, but it was all 'cause of your so-called parents." Said Master, "We have a lot to choose from. Let's try pickin' out our most favourites." "Well, I really like having my tea with macarons, madeleines, cream puffs (Choux Au Craquelin or Pâte À Choux) and cream scones." I said, "What do you like with your tea?" "Um, wagashi and tea are a good pairin'." Said Master, "But I like havin' cookies with tea, too." "Okay, I think we can make use of the same equipments, if we have cookies as the first idea." I said while writing that down on a notepad, "But, which one of the sweets of my liking should we pick?" "Which do ya think will be the best." Said Master, "I know you like things of high quality, so that's your taste to determine." "I see. Well, then, I think..." I let myself ponder for a little while, "Well, I can't possibly go for macarons, since their under that same category as cookies. Plus, letting them dry for half an hour or so will have to consume more time. Madeleines are good, too; but they might need a glaze, which isn't really necessary. Either a Choux Au Craquelin or a Pâte À Choux will be a nice touch. But I have to decide on either one first. Cream Scones are the one of the simplest, yet refined treats out there, usually served with cream and jams. I think I have a winner."
