Suzuki Ryūko's P.O.V

It was a day before the Semi-Finale of the Servant Kegikusho event. With my black notebook on my left of the desk, I was in the middle of writing a set of lyrics. "Onē-chan, why are you writing a song?" Asked my brother, Iruma. "No particular reason, really." I replied, "I just thought it up." Next thing I was writing, Valac-san notice that my lyrics have a lot to show. "Ryūko-chi, what does that one line mean?" Asked Valac-san, pointing at a line that says: "All that's left in my core is my tradegy". "It's supposed to mean that you only have tradegy left in your heart." I explained, "In other words, everything that touched your heart has turned over in the darkness and all is tragic." "That's pretty deep." Said Iruma, "Why are you writing something like this, though?" "Oh. Master and I are trying to come up with a duet song." I said, "Both of us are good at singing, then we tried to bring the darkness of despair and the light of hope into this song, like a battle between them." "Wow. That's a way to put it." Said Iruma amazed, "So, you're writing the sad part?" I nodded at the question as I continued writing until the first chorus was done.

"First chorus done." I said, "Now, Master and I have to find the words for the good side." "Huh? Why are you writing the tragic words while Amy-senpai is writing the good parts?" Asked Asmodeus-san. "I'm good at finding tragedy in romance, like forbidden love or stolen love." I explained, "And even listening to some gothic rock songs can help me get ideas." Lavande-san was looking over the current progress of the song and she said: "My, what emotional influence. Incredible skills of such poetry can only shine when they strike the heart. Well written, Lady Ryūko." "Thank you." I said, "Master and I will come up with the next after some time."

Right, Raim-sensei said that even poetry is a way to convey feelings to each other, especially romatically. I've remembered listening to Sunkissed Rhodonite by Roselia and it does have some of that. My skills of a singer are beyond most demonic description, as if I had the voice of a devilish Siren. Anyways, writing this song will be interesting for me and Master, because it's the first ever duet I've planned to write with someone. We thought of what I said about despair and hope before into a romantic gothic mix for words. The romantic shade of the song is actually forbidden love, because of fate making two people natural enemies, but they are still in love.

While I was writing, it was when the lesson was about to end early before Free Period. Canisverine-senpai was walking with me as I showed her the lyrics so far. "Wow. That's pretty amazing that you can write things like this." Said the wolf-demon, "I'm sure this song will be a huge hit someday." "Really?" I asked, "Thank you." As we were walking, I stopped, hearing a soothing singing voice from somewhere. I sneaked about to figure out who's voice it was, also with my wolf upperclassman behind me.

We started hiding behind a tree in the field, hearing that the singer's voice was close enough for us to hear and we were far enough to not be spotted. I took a short peek at my back and saw, what looked like an MP3 player in someone's hand with earphones plugged in the microphone of the device. The person tapped on something and the next thing Canisverine-senpai and I knew was that the singer started humming the intro of the song. The song we heard was none other than Sinful Indulgence. It was a devilish song that was passed down from generations of the Asmodeus family, but I'm not certain if Asmodeus Alice-san is aware of that song. We took a better look at the demon holding the MP3 device.

I was left shocked, my heart beating with the tempo of my surprised panting. The singer we heard, was my master the whole time. "It was Master? How does he have a singing voice so smoothly refined?" I thought. In a few seconds time, he started to sing the devilish song.
