Chapter II [Partners & Familiars]

Suzuki Ryūko's P.O.V

  It was just another day of school and I'm already with Iruma and Co. in the our class, waiting for Kalego-sensei to arrive. Asmodeus-san turned over to me and asked: "Ryūko-sama, have you decides on who will be your programme partner?" Not yet." I replied, "What about you?" "But of course, I will accompany Iruma-sama!" Answered Asmodeus-san with a happy expression. "I see... Lavande-san?" I asked. "I have yet to know of it, my lady." Said Lavande-san, "Hast thou ventured for your master of servant?" "No." I answered. "Lave-Lave! Pair up with me!" Requested Valac-san, "I wanna buddy up with you!" "I suppose it would be as set, Lady Valac." Said Lavande-san, "Very well, then."

  Then, I saw everyone else in the room conversing of the same topic: finding their programme partner. I heard Sabnock-san, the buff demon with the ambition of becoming the next Demon King, being pairs with Garp-san. X-san, the gentle and mother-like girl with a succubus-like appearance, being with Crocell-san, a shy girl who lives a double-life as a student and dem-dol. Andro-san and Shax-san are partnering up as well. I wanted to pair up with someone outside of our class, since my classmates here is being partners amongst themselves. But, maybe I should try the recommendation of partnering up with an upperclassman. I'm not sure about Agares-san, the sleepy head, and Purson-san, silent and listlessly staring at somewhere guy.

  I started to look at the photograph I got from yesterday's successful enhancement experiment back at the Magical Apparatus Battler. Everyone was filled with happiness and hope, especially Amy-senpai. Even he was overwhelmed with joy that his goal is treated as my own ambition, in which I support and will help in doing so. Kalego-sensei entered the classroom and said: "Silence. I assume you all are deciding on your partners for the Master & Servant Programme. Anyways, I will now call the roll. Reply as soon as I call you." He began to take our attendance down and everyone (excluding Purson-san) responded well, "Now then, Ryūko. The programme introduction sheets for parents are ready. Distribute them to everyone." "Of course, Kalego-sensei." I verbally saluted before I went to his desk and started to distribute the papers to everyone, "Everyone, be sure to pass this paper to your parents for an introduction of the Master & Servant programme." "Okay." Replied most of the class. "Now, listen up." Called Kalego-sensei, "Your next lesson will be combined with a Third-Year class for Interaction With Familiars, as  preparation for the programme. Whatever you do, don't cause the students or teachers of that class any trouble. They will arrive once they are told to by the Broadcast Battler." "Yes, Sir." The class said in unison.

  After that's done, we had to go for Interaction With Familiars class, like Kalego-sensei said, outside at the school park. Our lesson teacher was Balse Robin. His personality is quite similar with Valac-san's, and his attention span isn't good, but he'll make sure to conduct our lessons properly (though Kalego-sensei had to correct him on his first day). "Okay, everyone. Summon your familiars again." Instructed Robin-sensei, "Starting with Asmodeus-kun." "Yes, Sir." Replied Asmodeus-san. Usually you have to bite on your finger to release a bit of blood to summon your familiar. Asmodeus-san did just that like other demons would do and he summoned his familiar: an elegant Gorgon Snake.
