Chapter XX [Reunited & Resolved]

Canisverine Helio's P.O.V

  Fareak-kun, Clara-chan, the adults and I waited for about a whole hour for Kiriwo-kun and his gang to resurface from the secret chamber's cave. It may have been boring, but we all stood our ground. "I wonder if Kiriwo-kun and the others are alright there." Said Fareak-kun. "Don't worry." Reassured Clara-chan, "I'm sure they'll find Ryūko-chi and get her back any moment." I nodded in Clara's agreement, which made my pal feel better to know that everything will be alright.

  Speaking of, we all turned out heads to the door of the chamber, that was opening up. I picked up a scent, but it doesn't belong to Kiriwo-kun or his group- I was sure it was Ryūko-chan's abductor. "It's the kidnapper!" I said with the voice of an Alpha Wolf, "Everyone surround him!" As I've said, everyone at my end made sure that there no escape route for Rydian, who was covered in small scars that bleed. Some summoned their familiars, some got their weapons, and a few with their spells. When the said criminal reached the exit, there was nowhere left for him to go. "Wh- What?" Mumbled Rydian, "How did you all-" "Silence!" Said Kalego-sensei, "Trussest Rydian, you are under arrest."

  It took us a while, but Sir Félin managed to restrain him, along with one of Azazel-sama's officers. "Do what you all want, but this won't be the last of me!" Scoffed Rydian. "So, you're the one who abducted Ryūko-chan, right" asked the Chair-Demon. "Correct. Only because she prefers to protect one person above everyone else." Said the criminal after clicking his tongue, "Kiriwo's the only person that she wants to protect." "Hey! That's a lie, you faker!" Exclaimed Clara-chan in anger, "She even protects others!" "That's right! She's never that selfish!" I said with Fareak-kun. "Oh, so you want a piece of me?!" Questioned Rydian, who tried to charge at us. This caused Sir Félin and Azazel-sama to keep him restrained as much as possible. "I believe we have heard enough." Said the adult knight. "Agreed. We will handle the rest." Said Azazel-sama.

  And with that, Rydian was handcuffed and the Demon Border Patrol took him away. Sir Félin's black cat ears perked up as in he heard something. "They are at arrival soon." Said the knight. "You mean, Amy's group?" Asked Kalego-sensei. "Indeed." Nodded Sir Félin.

"Sorry for the wait, everyone."

  We heard a familiar voice call out to us from the mouth of the cave. First came out Dame Lavande and Asmodeus-kun, then Iruma. "Huh? Where's Kiriwo-kun?" Asked Fareak-kun. "He'll be out in a sec." Said Iruma. The young knight and fire demon stood at the sides of the cave, facing each other before they took a knee to the ground. Iruma moved a slight bit out of the way. The very last person to have arrived was Kiriwo-kun with Ryūko-chan in his arms. "Victory is ours and our honour student has been retrived." Said Dame Lavande and Asmodeus-kun before they stood up next to Kiriwo-kun. "You two didn't have to bow before me, y'know." Chuckled Kiriwo-kun modestly, "That battle ain't really much of a big deal. I had some motivation that made me fight stronger." "How can we not, Amy-senpai?" Asked Asmodeus-kun, "The rescue was an utter success!" "Indeed it was." Agreed Dame Lavande, "And to think thou hast become a swordsman of Barrier Breathing."

  Wait a sec! Barrier Breathing?! That's the Breath Style form only applicable to Amy clan members who have a high magic capacity! Kiriwo-kun doesn't have so much, but how was he able to get that much power?! "Kiriwo-kun! That's impossible!" I said, "How can you that much magic to conjure such a difficult technique?!" "It was all thanks to her." Said Kiriwo-kun, looking at the girl he rescued, "She helped me to strengthen up physically. Her magic enhancement apparatus really helped me out, as well. No matter how many times I fell... Ryūko-chan always helped me get back up. She's the reason I've gotten stronger." "Wow, Kiriwo-kun. You sure have a keeper." Teased Fareak-kun, making the teal-haired male blush. "Sh-Shut up, Fareak-kun." Stammered Kiriwo-kun, embarrassed. Many of us laughed at the teasing, except for Kalego-sensei.
