Chapter XVIII [Kiriwo's Darkest Hour Part I]

Amy Kiriwo's P.O.V

  If you all don't remember what happened, I'll sum it up for you. We tracked down where Rydian took Ryūko-chan as hostage and figured out that there was a secret chamber in the Hidden Cloud Forest, where it was possible that he took that route to hide my dearest junior in. Now, I have entered the chamber with Iruma-kun, Azz-kun and Dame Lavande. This is where we got walking into the chamber to find Ryūko-chan.

  "Wow. It's pretty unexpecting to find places like this in the Netherworld." Said Iruma. "Talk about loads of secrets." "Unbelievable indeed." Agreed Dame Lavande, "Perhaps my feline detection will aid us." We all looked at her transforming into her small cat form, smelling the air and her ears sprputed upwards. "This way!" Said the knight as she ran in a direction we followed. "As expected of you, Félin-sama!" Praised Azz-kun as we ran. "I'd better return y'all the favour after we rescue Ryūko-chan." I said, "I'm real glad y'all decided to help me out." "Oh. No need for that, Kiriwo-senpai!" Said Iruma-kun, "We're more than happy to help you!" "Golly, how am I even lucky to have recruited juniors like you guys?" I chuckled. "Men, take halt!" Shouted Dame Lavande, who skidded her soft paws to a stop.

  We all stopped running at Dame Lavande's command. "So, what's it ya found, Dame Lavande?" I asked. "There could be an ambuscade of some sort here." Said the lavander cat, transforming to her demon form. "Allow me to light the path." Said Azz-kun, making a flame appear on the palm of his hand. The fire revealled that there was something on the floor. I kneeled down to take a closer look, finding a tripwire contraption. "Gosh. Best to destroy it, I guess." I shrugged before I used my Diabolin Blade to carefully demolish the trap. "How do you know how they are attached, Kiriwo-senpai?" Asked Iruma-kun. "Ryūko-chan and I have been doin' lots of researchin' before the programme started." I said before I destroyed the other end of the tripwire holder, "Supposingly, they're a kinda trap apparatus that can be stopped this way." I've finished getting rid of the tripwire holders and told Dame Lavande to track Ryūko-chan's scent again. She transformed into her kitty form once again and we all followed her running.

  "Look alive, men. There could be an ambush." Warned Dame Lavande as we went further down the hallway. "Ryūko-sama's energy is slightly decreased from what I feel." Said Azz-kun. "Then we gotta pick up that pace!" I said, getting in the lead next to Dame Lavande. "Kiriwo-senpai! Could you please not go to fast?" Asked Iruma-kun behind us, "You might fall or step on another trap!" "Yeah, that's why I needed more than one person to get in here with me!" I said, "Takin' full prep is better done in a group!" "Sounds like a good idea!" Said Azz-kun. We all ran down the chamber, longer than I anticipated that it would be. Going through a chamber with this much of a long way down. I guess you can say that it's a way to keep loads of secrets in here.

  Anyway, we all kept following Dame Lavande until she skidded to another stop. We also skidded to stop and found ourselves in a suspiciously large room, dark, but we can all still see each other. "Strange. Lady Ryūko's scent ended here." Commented Dame Lavande, transforming back to her normal form. "It's way too quiet in here, huh?" Questioned Iruma-kun. "Yeah. I bet somethin' will happen at this very moment." I agreed. "It was a relief that we have dealt with the earlier tripwire." Said Azz-kun, "Otherwise, we'd likely be getting through a malicious obstacle course." "Yup. But where in a room like this could Onē-chan be kept in?" Asked Iruma-kun. "I could be askin' the same thing, y'know." I said while crossing my arms.

  "You managed to get past the traps, huh?" Asked a voice, "I've been waiting for you, Kiriwo." In alarm, we shifted our attention to wherever the voice came from. "Show yourself, you coward!" I demanded. "Return us Ryūko-sama this instant!" Backed up Azz-kun with his flame magic in hand. "If thou hast refuse, a settlement between us all for a battle will be done!" Said Dame Lavande with her sword out, followed by mine. "What do you even want with my sister?!" Questioned Iruma-kun. "My, oh my. You all are very touching towards a girl like her." Said voice again, "Just let me come out for a sec." Shortly after that, a door from on side of the room was opening, followed by my sworn enemy, Trussest Rydian, walking to the center point of one side of the room. "Y-You're that guy Onē-chan warned us about before!" Exclaimed Iruma-kun. "Hi there. Welcome to the Hidden Forest Chamber." Said Rydian, "Now before I even let you get your Ryūko back, I think we should start the game."
